An experiment in freedom
11-21-2013, 02:50 PM
Eyes closed she felt everything around her with her mind. Knew every clump of dirt and every blade of grass as intimately as she knew herself. Blocked behind her now cool demenor was that ever present slow boiling rage that she'd fought to keep caged since she killed her former master and took to the stars.
"Reach out with your mind. Do you feel them?" She asked in a soft cooing voice as she spoke to her daughter who responded with an amazed "Yes mother." in an equally soft voice. "Now block it all out and focus only on your lightsaber." She exclaimed, her voice full of warmth. "But mother, my arms hurt! Im not as strong as you." the young light green Twi'lek protested. " Still with her eyes closed the white Twi'lek woman with her black tribal tattoos smirked and lifted her elaboratly designed lightsaber from the ground beneath her with the Force and continued. "Push the hurt deep down and use it. Don't let it consume you. But let it fuel you. Like a low fire that heats supper."
Both mother and daughter held inverted with their Lekku drapped down onto the ground as they held themselves in handstands. Sakira used a single slender, but powerfully built arm while her daughter used both. Nara squeezed her eyes tight and fought to do exactly as her mother said, then suddenly her small training saber lifted from the ground.
Both dressed simply in very short shorts and simple leather halter tops. The warm climate of the planet called for nothing more.
Her mother felt her daughter's acomplishment, and continued to speak. "Good, very good. Now explore your weapon. Feel its parts. know it as well as you know yourself. Break it down, take it apart."

It didn't make any sense. She'd left the darkness behind, fled after her master was dead and gone, and embraced the feelings of love and warmth that she'd found along the way. But the visions of her doom still came, though now they included visions of her daughter. Though they did not paint a happy future for the young Twi'lek. Instead she saw images of her beautiful daughter falling prey to the seduction of the dark side.
And so they left the remote jungle planet where they had been living for the past several years. Secluded she explored the Force. Learned on her own accord how it flowed, and embraced the universe. But she knew that it was again time to find a new home.
She knew not how the universe had changed since they landed on the unnamed jungle planet. But she had felt the darkness growing. She knew that there had been a power shift in the force. But she never expected to find what she did when mother and daughter again took to the stars in her late lover's YT-1300 Freighter.
As normal, both mother and daughter dressed the same. Though bound for the cold depths of space they'd changed from the norm of their scant dress and dawned dark robes, heavy boots, and protective leather that sported composite armor over their vital areas.
While she piloted the nearly ancient freightor Nara looked over at her mother and asked. "Where are we going mother?" To which she replied. "I don't know yet." And she really didn't know where to go. All she knew was that it was the will of the force that they leave that planet.
Nara surpressed an annoyed sigh. Much of her childhood had been spent on that planet. Though she had no sentient friends, she had learned to interact with the local wildlife. Learned through the Force how to read them. Finally after several long minutes Sakira began to punch some numbers into the navacomputer. Nara however had closed her eyes. Inadvertantly she called on the Force. Instinctively she reverted back to her training and sought comfort in not only the trust she showed in her mother. But the slow boiling fire that the unencombured force filled her with. Suddenly her eyes shot open and she leaned forward to tap a few controls. On the monitor a sparsely populated planet appeared and Nara pointed at it then said. "I think we're supposed to go there!"
Her mother looked away from the navacomputer and eyed the planet quizically. "Myrfen." She said more to herself than to her daughter. She'd long ago learned to trust her daughter as much as her daughter trusted her. While she was young, she was unusually strong with the force. Just like her mother. And so she cupped her daughter's cheek and smiled. "Myrfen it is then little one."

Sakira stepped out of the refresher with a towel wrapped round her powerfuly built but femine form, and sauntered into her quarters aboard the Nightfall, the YT-1300p that she'd had faithfully ferried her and her daughter for the past few years. She was just about to drop the towel to get dressed when she felt the ebb and flow of the Force in the room change. She knew the all too familiar feel of her daughter's powers, and knew another game was about to commense. And so she looked around with a cool loving smile on her face.
Nara hid just outside the door and held her hand outward with her eyes closed as she manipulated the small ball of water that hung suspended over her mother's head. From just inside the room she heard her mother in her mind. Nara, how many times will you try this trick? It never works.
A split second before the young Twi'lek girl released her hold on the ball of water Sakira reached out with the Force and took hold of it.
When Nara felt her mother's commanding presence take control of the water she giggled and responded through her mind. Until it works. Just then she completely released her hold on the water and reached out for the puddle that had formed in the refresher when her mother had stepped out and pulled.
A surprised shriek escaped Sakira's lips when the water, cooled from the contact with the cold deckplating spashed off the back of her head and hanging lekku.
"Gotcha." Nara giggled as she darted down the cooridor toward the aft cargobay.

While Nara hid in some duct work she pulled in on herself and made her presence in the Force as small as she could. Unusually adept at the technique for one of her age she felt her surroundings shrink in. Eventually the ebb and flow of the Force was as shut off to her as she was to it. As she waited trying not to giggle she wondered to herself if she'd really gotten the better of her mother, or if these rare occasions were simple treats her beautiful mother threw her as a reward for innovative thinking. But she knew that only her mother knew the truth.

Sakira dressed quickly in the same tight armor clad leather she'd worn before her shower, and snatched her lightsaber from where it rested beside her bed, with it trailing behind her suspended by the Force she darted down the hallway with a smile on her face. After only a few steps out of her quarters her weapon had caught up to her, and found its way into her hand, and then eventually she stowed it secruly in it's place on her thigh just inside her leather boot.
She'd felt her daughter run down the hall and into the aft hold. But the moment she entered the hold, her mother felt Nara's light, her presence in the Force shrink and vanish. But try as Nara did she could not break that bond between mother and daughter that transended normal Force presence and auras.
Too often Sakira forgot that Nara was but a little girl, and little girls needed fun. Too often Sakira focused too much on learning and teaching and often forgot to offer her daughter "downtime" for play. But Nara, while ever obedient, knew when she'd had enough adult stuff, and seemed to find the time to force her mother to play. But even then, their play tended to be an exercise in the Force.
Sakira's tall, magnificant form strode into the cargo bay, and she looked around as if she didn't already know exactly where her daughter was. "Nara," She said, her beautiful voice full of mirth. "Come on out." But before her daughter could react Sakira felt a trembling in the Force. A feeling she had not felt in quite some time. It took a moment to register, but she finally realized it was her danger sense telling her that playtime was over.
Nara, hiding in the crawlspace and shut off from the Force, felt nothing. Instead she waited for her mother to walk by. But instead of the usual game she heard her mother's voice grow worried when she called out again. "Nara, we need to finish this later. I need you in the cockpit." Unsure if her worried voice was a trick or not she let her Force presence grow just a tiny bit, and the moment she did she too felt the disturbance. Unlike her mother, she'd felt that prickling sensation many times during her training, and instantly came back into being full force and searched her surroundings for the danger.
Just then, as Sakira saw her daughter drop down out of the crawlspace their light freighter lurched and dropped out of hyperspace. Little did the mother and daughter duo know, but they had inadvertantly crossed through a shipping lane that had been flooded with pirate activity. The part of space where wild space crossed into the outter rim had become a beacon for those factions that preyed on poorly defended transports and cargoships.
Both mother and daughter raced toward the cockpit only to find several fighters and a ramshackle corvette that had to have been a hundred years old.
Despite the age of the large craft, Sakira knew that they stood no chance. To have been pulled out of hyperspace the Corvette must have had a gravity well projector. And so, when Nara looked to her mother and asked, "What do we do mother?" in an unusually calm voice, Sakira grinned and said. "We can't jump with that ship in operation. So we let them board us. Ill go shut down whatever pulled us out of hyperspace, and you. You find your hiding spot and sit tight."
Nara opened her mouth to protest. But the look on her mother's beautiful, but dangerous face told her othewise. Just then a call came over the comm. "Power down your engines and let us board you and you won't be harmed. We only want your cargo." the deep male voice said. Sakira did not believe that one bit, but it was the best of a bunch of bad options so she replied, making her voice sound older and more frail than it actually was. "We are powering down, but have no cargo."

Sakira stood with a dangerous smile on her face as her daughter ran down the hall and vanished into the rear of the ship. As she dropped her armor the attractive Twi'lek woman jettisoned one of the escape pods, the sauntered back toward the port docking pod clad only in her leather bustier, hip high leather boots, whicl concealed her lightsaber, and the shorts which sported the long black leather veils that drapped down to her ankles.
And there she stood as the pirates entered her ship, calm and collected. With all the allure and grace that had made her race the pinnicle of the slave trade.
When the four men entered she did not shy away. With practiced precision she said. "My lady left with instructions that I should tell you." Two of the men only offered her a curiosy glace then walked past and headed toward the holds while the other stopped directly before her and looked her up and down, almost hungerly. "Your lady?" With a seductive smile Sakira continued in her silky smooth voice. "Yes, my owner. She said that she knew you would be upset when you found no cargo, and that I was to offer myself as payment so that she could keep her ship. She is in that escape pod that just launched."
The two men chuckled as one grabbed her by the arm. "I think we will be keeping the ship too." One said with a voice that dripped with contempt." The tall, well put together white Twi'lek nodded her understanding. She wanted to strike out and cut these men down. She was sure that she was more than a match for everyone abord the corvette. But she also knew if even one person managed to contact the fighters that circled the two ships they could easily be destroyed before Sakira could deactivate the gravity well generator. So she sought a more diplomatic approach and responded sweetly. "If that is what you desire. I can not stop you from taking what you wish."
Full of bravado the man whom spoke smiled and said to the one holding her arm. "Search her then take her to the Captain." With only a nod of understanding the man that held her arm began to search her while the other walked off to join the first two.
Despite her desire to break every bone in the man's body, she did not stop him from running his hands over her well toned body. Not even when he felt her concealed lightsaber. "What's this?" He asked as he dug into her boot for the weapon. With a waive of her hand, and a completely neutral voice Sakira reached into his mind and rearranged his thoughts. "That is nothing. You found no weapons when you searched me." To which the man responded. "That was nothing. I found no weapons when I searched you."
Sakira only grinned and continued. "You want take me to your gravity well generator." And just as before he responded in kind. Then lead her off the Nightfall and onto the large corvette.

The human male lead Sakira through the cooridors of the corvette. And even though every one of the crew members and passengers looked at her, none questioned him. All knew exactly what her fate was. Or they thought they knew.
With her lusiously long tchun-tchin draped over her shoulders and wrapped round her neck she stepped into the engineering compartment and eyed the two men that operated the gravity well generator. It took several long seconds for them to notice their crewmate and the attractive white Twi'lek, but when they did both men turned and scowled. One stepped toward them and began growling in a language that she didn't understand to her escourt.
With a coy smile she raised an arm and grabbed him with the Force. In an instant he lifted from the ground and grabbed for his own throat. It was too late. With one sharp move she clutched his windpipe and crushed it. As the second man started towards Sakira and her escourt who had just begun to move toward the Twi'lek. Neither of the two men knew their fate. But it had already been determined. The moment their convoy pulled Sakira and her daughter from hyperspace Sakira decided that they needed to be wiped from the face of the galaxy. And so Sakira pushed her hand out toward the second man and sent him careening into a power coupling. He didn't even have a chance to scream before his body vaporised. Sakira had already turned toward her escourt. Through the Force she saw the outcome of this little skirmish, and before her escourt could close the distance and attack her she slid with a little Force assisted boost out of his coming grasp then waived her hand and again took hold of his mind. "You have been betrayed." She said. "The crew of this ship sided with the Hutts and are going to give you to them." A perplexed look crossed her escourt's face as if his mind was trying to come to terms with the suggestion Sakira forced into it. But that look quickly faded, and again his face and voice took on that neutral tone as he repeated her statement. With a smile Sakira straightened and walked toward him as she continued to speak.
"You are going to go to the bridge, kill the Captain, then target the fighters." To which he again repeated her statement then turned to leave.
Aboard the Nightfall Nara played her own little game. She didn't like disobeying her mother. But it made no sense to her to just run and hide from the men that searched the hold. And so, instead she darted from shadow filled corner to shadow filled
corner silently and used the Force to bumb objects opposite her to confuse the two pirates that searched for anything of value.
But her fun ended suddenly when the Corvette's turbo blasters began firing. The sound reverberated through the hull of the larger ship and through the docking ring of their small freightor. However when they turned to hurry back to their ship they were both stopped cold. A crimson lightsaber ignited and impaled one through the chest. The second man, confused by the sudden attack that appeared to come out of thin air squinted and tried to see who held the weapon. But he couldnt. Sakira bent light and sound with her dark talents, and had made herself all but invisible. It was then, as she pulled the deadly crackling red blade from the pirate that she winked back into existance. With a dangerous, and sadistic smile on her beautiful face She again reached out with the force though this time the man she attacked lifted into the air and let out a blood curtling scream. Darkside energies flowed through her, and from her as she reviled in the man's agony. The seductive power of that darkness coaxed her, and called to her while the man lifted into the air, and the sound of popping and crushing eminated from his body. Tendons popped and bone cracked while he continued to scream. His body began to close in on itself while she crushed him with the ease of a trash compactor. The seconds seemed to turn into hours for both the victim and attacker.
It was exquisite, blinding, and horrifying all at the same time. But then finally the screams stopped, and all that remained of the pirate was a floating ball of destroyed bone, and flesh.
While she held the mangled corpse in the air Sakira called out with an unusually calm voice. "Nara, come out and get to the cockpit." She said while she lifted the other dead man and began to walk toward the docking pod. "And set a course for Myrfen."
