Chapter Six a: Atzerri

(( OOC: Bringing in our newest Player, sorry for the long delay))
Atzerri
Now on her own, hoping that she would only be considered just a piece of dust and not be worth being chased after by the sith who had thought to be her master. It wasn’t the will of the Force for her to be such. Nuana was grateful for her escape but now she had to go into survival mode, grubbing and searching for food. The encounter with the Sith woman gave Nuana an insight that not everyone is really nice as they seemed to be at first. Her former master was nice, Master Trynna, Nuana knew she could trust her. The small bothan female clung tightly to her only belongings, her backpack, which contained what was left of her master’s possessions.
She found shelter, crouched inside a small space that other larger, scarier being wouldn’t be able to gain access to her. She sniffled, wiping away the tears which darkened her tannish fur. It was starting to rain, all she could do was take out one of the scant e-rat bars that remained, and nibble at it while watching the sheets of rain fell down to the thirsty ground below. Lightning crashed above, lighting up the street below the darkened sky. Nuana didn’t know what to do, she had to go somewhere, find a place where there were other jedi. That was what Master Trynna had told her to do. The young Bothan was feeling miserable, she was now six years old, her birthday had just come and gone while she ran from the sith woman. No birthday, no cake like she had when she was home, and when she had been with Master Trynna.
Boskor had run for what seemed like hours. He was inside the city again, but was lost and disoriented not to mention exhausted from all the running. His dark green robe was soaked from the rain having run from the wilderness outside the walls of this trading community. Why couldn’t he remember where they had stayed in the city? He couldn’t help worry about his master. It had frustrated him that he had ran and left his master.Yes, Master Sulet had told him to run and find other Jedi. As his padawan he felt his place was with his master. Death didn’t scare him he had been close to that on Ylesia. Elias had him make one solemn promise. He was to do whatever he was told without question, to trust his Jedi Master no exceptions.
Despite the layers of clothing he was soaked to the skin. He hoped the haversack had kept his other clothes dry.The wetness chilled his bones and was causing the whip marks on his back to ache. Find Jedi, he laughed. No respecting Jed would be caught in such a storm. At least the local residents had sense to come in out of the rain. Lightning flashed, street appeared empty much like his heart.
Why did this always happen to him? Everyone he practically cared for had betrayed him in one way or another. Only his father and Master Sulet had been honest with him. He clutched the platinum necklace his father had given him on his fourteenth birthday. The symbol could easily fit in the palm of his hand, It was the sign of his family. The Finshall family crest. He knew little about his heritage except that his father’s family lived among the farthest reaches of the outer rim. His father said he was man now and his father had given the necklace as commemorating a rite of passage. He knew his father was proud of him and how he took care the family, when he was away piloting the smugglers ship. It was the last thing he ever gave him.
Confound it he thought, as he wiped the rain from his face. How am I suppose to find Jedi when the master had impressed upon his mind that there be no outward use of the force. As it was it would only be if he was somewhat close that he would sense another’s force. He took the carved wooden staff, a gift from his master and continued walking down the alley. Perhaps he would come across where they had stayed. It was close to the private spaceport in which they had landed some days ago. Could it be that hard to find and if he did would Jedi find him? He suddenly felt something. Was it those whom the master wanted him to avoid. It felt like a single entity. He froze, there was no one in sight. Whomever it was in hiding and close by.That was only thing he was sure of at the moment.
“Alright whoever you are show yourself.” He said, looking all around him as lightning flashed again his hand on his blaster.
Nuana was startled, hearing the stranger in green, talking as if he knew she was there. She was at first frightened, then heard the voice of her Master Trynna. “Stretch out your feelings trust in the force.”
It was her master who told her to leave, to get away from the woman who started to teach her the ways of the dark side of the force. To escape. This one, she didn’t sense a taint upon him like the sith woman. Girding up her courage, Nuana crawled out from the small aperture she had been hiding in, stepping out in the rain.
“I. I am Nuana. Has the Force sent you to help me? I know you have force powers, I can sense them.”
A crack of thunder a streak of light overhead, seemed to split the sky asunder, sending a heavier rain down upon the two in the alley.
Nuana could feel the moisture soaking through her clothing, her fur becoming plastered flat. She shivered, feeling cold.
He looked at the soaked furry creature almost ashamed having called her out in such a abrupt manner. No idea he was speaking to a child, the force with her seemed fairly strong. He released his hold on the blaster. She was Jedi, just not what he perceived to be looking for when Elias had commanded search for Jedi. It was like his master’s sense of humor that he would send him a youngling. Boskor laughed. The creature appeared not that old. Probably around his sister’s age. Thus suffering from the elements as much as he. Coughing his throat constricted in pain then passed. His experience with aliens was very limited and he had learned to be cautious around them. He had met full grown Bothans before and had great respect for them. This child was representative of that race. He perceived her to be a Jedi of some education and discipline, it was something he just sensed. Had she been raised at the Jedi temple?
The rain was pelting hard, lightning flashed as he stood out in the alley. The roar of the thunder was loud being only seconds away. Couldn't he get a break. Pleading he looked above asking that the heavens might be shut up least for a little while. He contemplated her question as the rain fell upon his face. Has the force sent you?
“The force sometimes I’ve learned works in mysterious ways. Obviously it has brought us together to what end remains to be seen. I can tell you my master said to run, find other Jedi, but I don’t know for certain why?” All things that had happened so far were making him cautious, not having any one particular reason to fear yet he did.
“Nuana, do you think you could trust me just enough to let me buy you a meal? By the way my name is Boskor. Right now my master is missing and I’m distressed about it as much as I am the rain. Can’t we please go somewhere it is nice and warm? A hot meal, dry room and rest later sounds like heaven to me. I’m willing if you are.” walking closer to her. He pulled his hood back then stopped, leaning against the wall of the alley in a coughing fit. His body felt extremely warm.

Her ears perked up, she felt sort of nervous when Boskor approached her. It quickly disappeared when he slumped against the alley wall. She stepped up close to him, placing an arm around his waist, barely being tall enough to do so.
“Lean on me, if you have a place for us to hole up in then I am all for it.” the young bothan replied. “I don’t think you can fit in my small hidey hole and it isn’t that comfortable. “ feeling a spark of hope come to light.
Feeling the warmth of his body, which she knew wasn’t good, “You need rest, and warmth. Which way do we go?”
He looked through the heavy rain to the end of the alley. There was a blue three story building that looked vaguely familiar. Could it be the florist shop he had saw the other day? For the little bothans sake he hoped so. She could get sick too if they didn’t get out of this soon. Pointing to the end of the alley he led her there He looked cautiously both ways down the street. He glanced up at the sky the next time lightning flashed.and was aghast to see the main part of the thunderstorm was nearly upon them. Before him stood the florist shop he had remembered. “Until Tomorrow” His eyes perked up as he realized they were close now. What had caused him to remember the obscure shop wedged in between two other taller buildings had been the fact that his mother’s birthday was tomorrow. He recalled that he was going to ask the master permission to buy his mother some flowers and have them sent to her. He was sorry to miss her birthday, but she would understand.
“Nuana, I think we're close.” looking down at the bothan holding him tightly for which he was grateful for if he slipped in the muddy street he doubt that he would have the strength to get back up.
He looked to the right and there it was.The dark pink three story permacrete and durasteel building with a dark green Cricket displayed on the sign welcoming guest. it was the sign he remembered Their room was on the second story facing the street. His master had specifically asked for that room and the first night sat watching the street from the window.
Leaning heavily on his staff trying to keep his weight off the bothan as much as possible. He slipped his hand into his robe and lifted a key.
“Nuana, here’s the key were in room nine on the second floor. Once I get in the building I’ll feel much better.” handing the key to her. They walked to the entrance now under an awning he opened the door and let Nuana enter first.
“”Its up the stairs and to the right. I’ll be alright. He saw her look back and nodded that he was okay. It just dawned on him. What if his master was already there.? Wouldn’t he be surprised. Panic set in. What if he scared the little youngling?
Somehow he found the energy to move forward. It was nice and toasty in the hallway as he walked toward the stairs. He was about to take the first step when he heard a high pitched voice behind him.
“Sir, I am glad I caught you there is a envelope for your Dad and here is the wallet he had me put in the safe. He wanted me to give it to him upon his return. However I don’t see him. Is that young lady with you by any chance?” said the Lepi who had a pink visor on his furry white head and a fluffy white tail which was flopping up and down on the wooden floor of the hallway.
“Yes she is and I want to thank you for the envelope and his wallet. I'll remind him tip you well for your efforts. If you don’t mind I’m soaked to the skin and badly in need of a hot shower, If you will excuse me.”
“Sir thanks, why don’t you let me help you up the stairs you don’t look so good.”
“Could you?” He asked.
He watched the creatures long floppy ears swing around nearly missing his head as it hopped nearer to him taking his arm.
“Lean on me and I’ll get you up these stairs.” he said, leading the way up the stairs to the second level and escorting him to the room.
“I think I can make it from here and thanks.” watching the creature scurrying away its tail keeping beat as it made its way back to the lobby.
With some relief, Nuana allowed the proprietor help Boskor up the stairs, she didn’t know if she could make it herself. The door opened, and she stepped inside, looking at the place. Nuana looked back out towards Boskor, ready to help him out if he needed it.
A fire crackled brightly, giving off a warmth and a welcome.
“I’m coming in Nuana. If you don’t mind I get the shower first. If I don’t I might not make it to it at all.” walking in the door having been left slightly ajar.
“Alright, you can have the shower first, enjoy the water.” her tone quiet and thoughtful.
She closed the door behind Boskor, locking it securely, wandered over towards the window which looked out upon the street below. The rain pounded upon the pane, making a drumming sound. She froze for a moment, thinking she saw a cloaked figure, looking up towards the window she was gazing out of. She blinked and the figure was gone.
“Your master told you to run, I saw mine killed. Then a woman who was of the dark side of the force wished to make me her apprentice.” Nuana said softly, not knowing if Boskor was still in the room.
He watched as he stepped out from the refresher, his shower had been quick to warm him up, there had been enough rain on him already today.Being wrapped in his robe, saw her standing by the window. The words were barely audible. He couldn’t help being touched by the loss of her master. To witness that must have been horrible for the youngling. How would he feel if he lost Elias? The man was like a father to him. When Elias found out about his mother and sisters being slaves he made it point that they would be rescued.and the master kept his promise. He owed Elias so much. How could he not be faithful to him. What about this woman.? A Dark Sith?
He grabbed the staff and leaning walked toward the window, but turned and headed to the bed instead, but making enough noise to let her know he was in the room.
Without really exerting his force he felt her sadness. To endure such at thing in one’s life. He moved slowly his body was weak and he hated to admit it. After some effort he made it to the bed and sat down. He had left the haversack on the bed. He opened it and pulled out a brown cloth bag and smelled the package. The aroma was one of freshness. They looked firm and were ready to eat. His stomach lurched. Maybe he wasn’t quite ready for solid food just right now.
“Nuana, I’m sure I left enough hot water for you.Thank you for letting me go first. Under other circumstances I would have waited. I feel much better now. I don’t honestly know what is going on, sounds like things are pretty recent and weigh heavily upon your heart. If I can help in anyway I promise you I will. Would you like an apple before you take a shower Nuana?”
Slowly turning away from the window, it smudged by the mark of her nose, Nuana shook her head, no. “Not at this time, I will get cleaned up first and put on some dry clothing.”
She moved towards the refresher, taking her back pack with. Her clothing still dripping with water. It was a few minutes before she came out, dressed in dry clothing. Pulling a chair over in front of the fire, and another one a little bit aways. She attached some line between the two chairs, to make a clothesline, to hang her wet things upon. She did the same for Boskor as well.
“I’ll take the apple, now.” she remarked, once she was done, and moving over to the bed to dig one out.
He held the bag for her as she reached in. Boskor was perplexed concerning the child. Who ever her master had been, had done an excellent job in raising Nuana. He reached inside the haversack for the emergency coin purse placing it on the edge of the bed. He stood and placed the haversack on the nightstand then carefully climb into bed. Pulling the bedding up to his chin savoring the warmth and comfort of the bed.
“ Nuana, here are some funds help yourself. You must be hungry and probably tired too. The cafe downstairs actually pretty good. Thank you for saving me. If I hadn’t sensed you I would still be out there. I’m simply going to sleep. I trust you, I believe you will do what you feel best.” unable to keep his eyes open any longer drifted off to sleep.
“I didn’t save you, you saved me” she paused. “Maybe we will save each other.” Watching as her rescuer faded off to sleep, Nuana yawned as well. She was exhausted. taking a pillow from off the bed, and an extra blanket she moved to a corner of the room which was nice and cozy, wrapping herself up in it and fell fast asleep.

Nuana’s dreams were fraught with terrible images, the only sound that anyone could hear would be whimpers, and the movement of her leg as in her nightmare she was running from someone.
Boskor awoke from his dream and realized now that his master was gone.He didn’t see his master actually die as much as he felt it.The foreboding sense of loneliness overwhelmed him as he laid looking at the ceiling. What would he do now? He had no master and doubt that the training could be finished on his own. It was the driving force of Elias and his passion that pushed him through the arduous hours of physical and mental training. Nuana was still young yet there was hope for her, if they could find other Jedi. Jedi masters would consider him too old and his strong psyche didn’t help none either. Trusting adults was hard for him. It had taken Elias sometime to win him over and convince him that he needed to embrace the Jedi way.
His body ached and he realized he needed to stretch. Grabbing his staff he went to the window listening to the small bothan occasionally whimper. He was glad she was finally able to get some rest not knowing what tomorrow might bring. He was glad to see the rain had stopped the idea of sunshine appealed to him . Definitely would have to talk to Nuana later. He looked out the window, was that activity out there? It was still early not dawn yet. He was sure that he had seen movement on the street. but too dark for specifics. Did he dare reach out with the force to be sure? If he did it could give their presence away.
He decided to go back to bed, but he would grab his blaster. have it beside him should he need it. Before getting into bed he looked once more at the sleeping youngling. He could see the fire was dying down now. He struggled lifting a chunk of wood placing it on the fireplace. It was large enough that it should keep it burning until morning he thought. Edging his way to the bed he had hoped that he had not awaken her. He returned to bed with blaster in tow and again pulled the covers up over him embracing the comfort it gave. him.
The night rolled on, morning came with a tapping upon the door of the room where the two slept. Nuana sat bolt upright, and dashed towards the door, “Who, who is there?” her voice quavered out, her fur ruffling upwards, part of her lip lift
ed up showing some teeth in a silent and worried snarl.
“Clean linens, do you wish them?”
Nuana looked back towards the bed, where she thought Boskor was still sleeping. “Just leave it outside of the door please.” she said to the voice outside in the hall. stretching out her senses to see if there was danger out there. She didn’t sense anything dangerous, but one could never be certain.
“As you wish, when you are done, just place the dirty linens outside please.”
Nuana could hear the retreating footsteps of the person, then fade away. Turning around with her back against the locked door, her heart beat going from a rapid pace, slowed down back to normal.
He had heard the bothans voice not comprehending what had been said and saw the light coming in from the window. Is It that late already? He rose and stretched. Placing his palm on his forehead it felt cool to the touch. Looking at his bedsheets he could see they were drenched . As best as he could tell the fever had broken.
He saw Nuana with her back to the door reaching for his blaster he asked , “What is wrong?”
“Just someone coming to drop off fresh linens I asked them to just leave it outside the door.” she explained. Noting that he looked a bit more energetic, she commented, “You look like you are feeling better.” tilting her head upwards to get a better look at him.
“I am and thought I take a shower too. Before I do I’ll gather all the linen and remove those soaked sheets from my bed. If you are not planning to return to sleep and would like to shower again Feel free to do so. while I bring in the clean linen and take out the soiled. Breakfast sounds good afterwards. What do you think? placing the blaster back into the holster.
Nuana moved away towards the window, to take a look outside. The sun was warm and bright a far cry from the day before. She still felt that something was wrong, that maybe they needed to get away from here. That woman might be looking for her.
“You can go ahead and get another shower. I had one last night. “ Nuana sounding a bit older than her young years.
Perhaps it was the taste of the darkside, or the experience she had watching her master be cut down in front of her.Or a combination of both. It was something that would age a person several years older than their biological years. Part of her childhood was gone, ripped away from the loss of her master, her surrogate mother.
“ I really don’t think we are too safe here, If something has happened to your master then, they may track his last whereabouts to here.” feeling a sense of worry and concern.” facing him, “Last night I thought I saw someone looking up to this particular window. I don’t know if it is the woman who wished me to be her apprentice or someone else.”
“My master is gone Nuana. I felt it in a dream last night. “ he walked over to where his clothes were hanging and took them to the refresher. When he returned was dressed as before his black hair freshly combed and tied into a ponytail.
“Maybe our best shot is going to the private spaceport. It is a risk I know, but there could possibly be some Jedi there. Though the master said it isn’t often that Jedi come here unless they have a pretty good reason for doing do. So don’t get your hopes up. If I knew a planet we could go to I would pay passage for us to get there. I thought about the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, but for some unknown reason I have an ill feeling about it. Nuana my master was in contact with the Jedi Council there, but he didn’t often tell me about what was going on with them. Even so I could have bounty hunters looking for me simply because I am an escaped slave from Ylesia. Honestly I wish that I knew the best course. I agree with your assessment that staying here any longer could be a bad idea.” moving to the fireplace sitting down on a cushion chair.
Nuana walked up to him, reaching out and touching his arm. “We have to do something, you are older than I am, and.. and..” tears welled up, throwing her arms about Boskor she started crying. sounding very much the little youngling she was.
Boskor put his arms around and embraced her hug. He held the bothan tight for a several minutes before releasing his hold. He felt like he was searching for his mother and sisters again when they been separated from each other on Ylesia.. He had felt so all alone then. Surely the bothan was feeling the same frighten and scared.
He stood put his hands on her shoulders looking at the tear stained eyes .
“Nuana we have the force, things will work out. I can sense that you are scared and frighten. So far you been such a big girl I’m sure your master would have been proud of how you have handle yourself. I know I am. The spaceport is not far from here, at this point it is our best bet. We will go there. Lets get our things together and get out of here.”
He went through his master’s drawers and collected a sheaf of papers in a leather folder. He knew it pertain personal information. Next he gathered the wallet and letter from the bathrobe and transferred into the folds of the robe he was wearing. He went through his drawers and gather his clothing and shoved them into the haversack. There wasn’t room for all his clothes those he would leave there. Carrying a suitcase would be too obvious and would slow them down beside clothes could be replaced.
Taking his holster he fasten it to his waist and then tied the rawhide straps around his thigh. He once more look at the room and decided that there was nothing else to do, but grab his staff and opened the door. Looking down the hallway he saw the maid in uniform coming out of a room and motioned to her.
“I am going out in a minute and I’m sorry for the mess. Will you straighten the room I will be back later.” He said as his head hung out the door touching the blaster by his side.
“Of course. Is there anything special that I can do?” She asked.
“Not at this time. Just straightening the room will be fine.” closing the door.

“Nuana are you ready”his back to the door.
“Yes, I am ready. “ her bag already packed and ready to go. She peered around into the hallway, then stepped out. “Thank you for being my cry pillow, hopefully I didn’t get you too wet.” making a small joke, feeling a bit better they were going to be on the move.
“Hey I’m used to it. I have two little sisters one near your age.To tell you the truth Nuana I felt like crying too. Now there is sunshine and opportunity ahead. So lets go exploring. “ leading her to the stairway walking by her side as they exited the building.
Sunshine abounded when he entered the street and he had blinked as his eyes adjusted to the increased light. He turned right and followed the street . Keeping his stride equal with the youngling they made their way west. Boskor was grateful the sun was at their back. So far he hadn’t noticed anything unusual.
He looked up in the sky watching pigeons flying above them From the gentle breeze the smell the ponderosa pine and a scent of wildflowers. There were a variety of businesses that they passed. He listened for any unusual sounds like footsteps starting then stopping behind. The force didn’t feel any disturbance actually it was like still water very calm. Of course he wasn’t stretching out with it. He followed the dictates his master had set forth.
Sith that’s all he needed. If Nuana could resist the darkforce, then maybe he had a chance too. It had been a perplexing problem for his master. Elias had tried to hide his fears concerning him. Was it that he had thought that he would embrace the darkside? From the way his master acted sometimes he thought so.
He looked forward and saw a gotal. The furry creature was certainly looking for something as he nudged Nuana off the street into the alley
“Bounty Hunter.” he whispered
.Perhaps they could bypass him by moving over to another street. He felt it was worth a shot the creature might not be alone and they were sensitive to fluctuations in the force. They would have to hurry.
“Nuana, run down this alley to the next street I will be running behind you just to make sure we are not being followed. Go! “ pulling his blaster out from the holster.
He let the bothan get a good head start then followed. They ran to the end of the alley and made a left on the perpendicular street. He had her walk quickly hoping to put some distance from the horned creature.
When he thought they were in the clear he slowed and had her stop.
“You okay? The guy certainly was searching for someone.” he said, leaning his back against a store front.
Nuana’s chest heaved from them racing around the corner, “When we get to the port, how will we get off planet or did your master have something you flew?”
“A Corellian freighter. I have had only co-piloted never done it solo. I doubt that I can pilot the ship and even if I could where do we go? Let us just get to the spaceport before we run into anyone else. I have a feeling we are being followed. It is a gut feeling, but I have learn to trust them.”
He looked at the bothan and knew she wasn’t all too happy. Maybe he could safely pilot the ship., but without a destination they might as well be drifting off in space.
A Spaceport is this way he pointed down the street .They weren’t far from it now. As they rounded a corner he could see the tall walls of the spaceport. Being it was a private spaceport he doubt he have much problem getting to the ship thus he was surprised when the guard stopped him at the gate.
“What ship?” he asked, staring at the the bothan.
“Loomis Quest” Boskor replied.
“Hey that’s a pretty nice freighter you guys have. I get to walk around patrolling this place you can’t imagine what kind of flying junk I’ve seen. You mind if I ask how many you can carry?” staring at him intently.
No, not at all” wishing he just let them go on to the ship. It can carry a crew of eight comfortably. replying, as he started to walk away.
“Well all I can say is I was very impressed. I could see it has some special modifications. from the outside. Have to go others are coming. Safe trip wherever you are going.” He said, walking back to the guardhouse.
“We’re in docking bay three. It is this way. Do you sense anything Nuana?”
Nuana shook her head, “So far so...” she looked behind them, giving out a gasp. “Boskor we need to move. Now!” she hissed, “Which way?!!”
“To the left just ahead “He reached the docking bay door and punched in a preset code that Elias and him had agreed upon.
As Nuana passed through he punched another code to lower the blast shield and locked it. Whoever was following was going to have a tough time getting in.
Nuana was ahead of him running hard to the loading ramp of the ship.He ran as fast as he could taking giant leaps up the ramp almost catching Nuana. At the top he turned quickly and raised the ramp. Old man I hope those people followed your orders and fueled this ship. Throwing his haversack and staff to the side, running toward the cockpit.hopping into the pilots chair flipping switches like mad. Please baby get those engines warmed up. He put on the headset and flipped on the communications console.
“Vision get up here now.”He yelled into the microphone .
Nuana was by his side watching him flash switches all over the place.
“Nuana why don’t you sit there if you think you can make it.” pointing to the co-pilots seat. not looking directly at her.
Suddenly there was a R2 unit chirping away saying that they had open the dock doors but not the blast shield.
“This is Loomis Quest requesting permission to leave.” He spoke rather flippantly.
“What is your destination Loomis Quest?” the controller asked.
He turned and looked at Vision. Where the master planning on taking this frieght? He asked the droid.
“Mon Calamari are you sure?” looking at the droid as if he lost his mind.
“Alright Alright I got it.”
“Control this is Loomis Quest destination is Tatooine.”
“Loomis Quest you are free to depart. use victor 721.6534”
“Roger control and thanks.”
The R2 was chirping away nervously
“Then activate the the weapons array that should slow them down.” grinning at the droid.
The control panel showed a green light. Engines were hot. He didn’t hesitate to punch in the code.
Suddenly the freighter took off leaving those on the ground eating smoke and dust.
“Vision get the coordinates to Mon Calamari from the nava-computer and lets hightail it out of here.”
What you mean that’s not what I told them. I certainly did.” smiling at Nuana as the droid was shaking around making all kinds of a fuss.
“Okay if you insist, override protocol Elias 21.”
Nuana could only chuckle and feeling like things were going crazier than expected but she didn’t care.
“That should shut the little guy up at least for now. Wasn’t about to tell them where we're going.” looking at readouts and and the navigation console. He looked out of the cockpit as they continued on the preassigned vector.
“Whoever was following wasn’t too smart. or either they thought I couldn’t pilot this freighter. If it had been me I would have had a ship waiting for us. “ looking at Nuana who was buckled into her seat, but not fully strapped in.
A high squeal brought his attention back to the droid.
“What do you mean vision? You found what on one of your maintenance rounds.”
“Two tracking devices. What the heck is going on? You sure you got them all..”
“Okay, good job did you incinerate them?”
Alright you're the droid! Those coordinates about ready for hyperspace? “he asked, looking at the droid.
He notice the coordinates coming through the navigation console.
“You have the honors Nuana, after all you're part of the crew now. You throw that lever down there forward and it will engage the hyperdrive. What are you waiting for? looking at her in the other seat.
Nuana strapped herself in, stared at Boskor for a moment, then nodded, thrusting down the switch to kick in the Hyperdrive. She felt the g-force pushing her back into the seat. As it did so she yelled “Yee haaw!!” with the stars blurring and disappearing into hyperspace.

Boskor slapped his leg and gave a howl, looking at the bothan. Vision chirped excitedly as well. He unbuckled himself from the pilot’s seat and stepped down. He looked at Nuana now more relaxed.
“Might as well get a tour of the old rust bucket. However for an older freighter it has been well taken care of by my master. First stop the galley. I’m hankering for a sandwich.” He reached out his hand for hers.
Unbuckling herself from the seat, Nuana took the offered hand hopping off the co pilot’s chair. “I am definitely hungry now. well make that starving!!” feeling rather happy about the current situation. “I am glad you found me, it wouldn’t have been good otherwise. “giving Vision a pat on the top of the dome. “I don’t feel frightened anymore”
“Glad to hear it. The galley is this way “ leading her back toward the way they had entered.
“Vision can you have Jogger get my belongings and put them in my room. then meet us in the galley.” He said, touching the droid
“Yes I know I was gone longer than planned. The master? We will talk about that later.” He replied, a little irritated for the droid bringing the subject up.
Finally off the hallway to the right they enter a small galley.
“Master always insisted the crew be fed well.” stepping up to the refrigerator opening it.
“Let me show you everything we have Nuana”
He pulled out a large oval platter that contained thinly sliced nerf ferder, turkey and ham. Then pulled a pitcher of milk placing them on the stainless steel work table behind them. Turning back he grabbed some Corellian hot mustard and mayo. Reaching above him in a cupboard he pulled a bag of Bothan style dark bread that he was fond of placing them on the table as well.
“Sandwich okay with you for now or do you prefer to take a look in there and grab whatever you feel like.” grabbing a knife out of the drawer.
“Just a sandwich will do and water. to drink. My tastes are simple.” giving a smile. “You master seems like he was a kind man. My master was a kind but stern woman.”
Nuana pulled out from her pocket, the precious crystals that remained of her masters lightsaber. “That darksider lady, she broke Master Trynna’s light saber, and gave me these to form another one. I don’t know what it is about those who practice the darkside of the force, why they are so cruel. They try to show kindness but that is just to deceive and get what they want. I did feel that there was a good side to her, but it was really buried rather deep. “
“A kind man - “ he chuckled.” Not when it came to Jedi training sister. The man could be harsh and demanding, but he was upfront about it from the beginning. He simply felt I didn’t have any time to waste. Most Jedi’s take take the trials by the time they are thirteen and - I’m a little beyond that. No I believed and acted as if he demanded my most devote attention and gave him nothing less. Despite everything he was more like my surrogate father kind, benevolent and caring. Must have been quite a Jedi in his younger days from the stories he told me and I loved him.” looking at Nuana intently watching him.
He rose from the table and grabbed two cloth napkins. Sat one of them down by Nuana the other by where he sat. Walking to the entrance of the galley he leaned his head against the wall. Why master - why did you have to leave me? Composing himself he returned to the table and picked up the napkin wiping away the tear that had rolled down his cheek. Even the droid by his side had sense enough to be quiet.
“ At least you have those. One day maybe you can honor you old master by using those crystals to make your light saber. I think she would have wanted that under the circumstances. Of course that will depend on your new master and I have no doubt that the force will lead you to one. You are going to be a great Jedi I just feel it.”turning to the task at hand.
Nuana nodded solemnly vowing to herself that she would get a lightsaber made utilizing the crystals from Master Trynna’s lightsaber. She listened to Boskor as he went on.
“I’ll slice the bread and you build your sandwich the utensils are in the drawer behind you and I’ll grab a couple of glasses.”
He picked up the pitcher of milk replacing it in the fridge. He walked over to fruit basket hanging in the corner. Pulled out a banana. Opened a tall stainless steel door which opened into a storage area for fruits and vegetables. He walked inside and grabbed an avocado and returned to the table. Peeling the banana he sliced it lengthwise and then cut the ripe avocado into thin slices. Turning around he grabbed two table knives and set them near the condiments .He cut four slices of bread pushed two slices to the side for Nuana.
Nuanna accepted them , proceeding to make her own sandwich and watched the masterful skill he had in creating his own.
The other two he cut in half then proceeded to put mayo on one half and the mustard on the other.Using a knife he dug into the pile of turkey taking a portion then laid some of the sliced banana on top of the turkey on one then put avocado on the other half of the sandwich. He placed the sandwich on the plate and brought it to the table. Then turned and went to the fridge again pulling out a pitcher of water. and brought it to the table grabbing the glasses on the way.
His concentration was interrupted by the chirping little droid by his side now wanting his attention.
“Yes, you’ll get your lubricant you can wait at least until I have a chance to eat.
By the way where is jogger?” asking wondering why the protocol droid wasn’t there yet.
“He is not allowed in there” irritated by the droids shrieking whistle.
“What do you mean he had permission.” snapping at the droid.
He filled both glasses and turned looking at Nuana.
Nuana had her sandwich all made, but stopped to watch the slight disagreement Boskor was having with the droid.
“Where isn’t the droid allowed to go inside?” she asked being naturally curious. she moved to the table and set down with her food, taking a seat.
“My master’s quarters even I’m not allowed in there without his permission. I can gather it is something that the master wanted me to have upon my return. “ he replied, taking a bite of his sandwich.
The food was delicious. He didn’t realize just how hungry he was finishing half the sandwich. He could hear the clanking of metal feet upon metal as Jogger appeared.
“Mister you got some explaining to do.” looking at the chrome covered protocol droid.
“Forgive me Master Finshall, it took me sometime to locate the items Master Sulet wanted me to give you upon your return. This one is from your mother handing him a recording disc. This is from Elias handing him an large brown envelope If you will excuse me there is one other item I was to attend to as well” the droid starting to move toward the refrigerator.
“Hold on just a minute where are your manners. This is Nuana and she will be our guest for the time being. You will mind her as you would me. I want you to show her to the Crew’s Bunk Room when she is ready. I take it that all the housekeeping chores have been done that the room is presentable. “
“Indeed it is Master Finshall.” Jogger articulated.
“That is if it is okay with you, as I do have chores to attend to as well.” looking at Nuana before taking a bite of his sandwich.
“Oh that is alright with me. I’ll get my things placed in the crew area, and get myself settled there.” Nuana replied biting into her turkey sandwich.
When the meal was finished, Nuana helped to clean up the small galley, even washing the dishes that had been used. She was rather fastidious about it, it was something she was inclined to do. Once finished she took her backpack, to where the indicated room was, claiming the lower bunk as her own. With it only being herself and Boskor, she had the choice of any of the bunks. He would have where the captain would sleep.
Time moved on, with those on the Loomis doing what they could to while away the time. The alarms went off indicating that they had arrived at their destination, where Master Sulet had arranged for a refueling then back on the road to the next stop.
Nuana quickly ran to the cockpit, seating herself in the co-pilot’s chair and strapping herself in. “Depending on how long it will take to refuel, I am not planning on leaving the ship, not here at least. “
A quick refuel then back on the road, Nuana was rather happy they didn’t have any trouble. She breathed a sigh of relief. Once they were off planet Nuana was a bit animated.
“I’m glad that didn’t go badly, now off to Mon Calamari. “
Hitting the switch to put them into Hyperspace once more Nuana felt even more at ease. . Once more it was the routine of hyperspace, napping or doing other chores. The alarms went off again letting the crew of the arrival to Mon Calamari they had arrived.
Boskor strapped himself in for the impending descent to the planet. Flipping on the communications console he put the headset on to talk to Mon Calamari and requested a landing vector.

The landing went as planned. The removal of the shipment and refueling would come later. He looked Nuana still sitting in the Co-pilots seat. He smiled then just quietly closed his eyes. They had made it here.
“Nuana, I put this off as long as I could. There is simply a question I must ask. How come you and your master ended up on such a dangerous planet like Atzerri? turning facing her.
She twisted around to look directly at Boskor, she sighed. “We were tracking down an item that a family needed, we had just delivered it to said family when everything just turned upside down. In our flight to get away, Master Trynna had gone down a blind alleyway, she would have gotten us up to the top of the building, but that wasn’t to be. They had us trapped. If it weren’t for Lady Jessa, I would have died. She did save me, but would have made me her apprentice,I truly thought I would have been stuck there, maybe even get her to come to the lightside of the force. It wasn’t meant to be. “ Nuana sighed again deeply.
“I am here with you, and we are finding our way to where we need to be. I’m just glad you had found me.”
Boskor looked at her and sighed. Leaned back into his chair and stared out at the deep dark blue sky. It was like looking at an artist canvas that had not been fully painted. Wasn’t life filled with possibilities? What lay ahead may be uncertain, but the force had led them thus far. So why not farther.
“You are amazing Nuana. We’ve found each other. If only that were enough, but find other Jedi we must. In this city certainly must have some Jedi somewhere. Just a matter of locating them. We cannot do that staying aboard the ship. We have faced danger before and will probably again. So what do you think this is as good as a time to go exploring in the city?” turning smiling patting the blaster strapped at his side.
Nuana quirked her head to one side contemplating Boskor, a smile slowly running across her lips. “I think this is a perfect time to go exploring.” hopping down off the copilot's chair. “I am also looking forward to seeing some sunshine and getting a better look at the water out there!” holding her hand out towards Boskor.
Boskor took her hand and looked at her. She was more relaxed than she had been when they first met.
“Lead the way little sister,” gesturing them toward the exit of the ship.

Chapter Six a: Atzerri
07-09-2013, 02:52 PM
