Gray gave Graystar a sidelong glance as they walked into camp. " Yes, she is friends with a dark jedi. I can tell that it is a great concern to you, Then it is your duty as her friend to help protect and guide her in the ways of the light side. It would benefit her greatly if she were to stay on her current path. But be warned, she may be tested and tempted by the dark side so pay heed to the warnings that the force may give you."
A few minutes later they entered the camp and saw Master Star and Dobby. Gray gave a poite bow to Mira as he approached. " I know you need to be on your way Master Star, As I stated eariler I shall be more then happy to assist you with your request for as long as it is needed." He turned and looked at Dobby. " Young lady, we shall be staying and training at the cave complex. It's Dobby isn't it ? Well then ...Dobby... you had best gather your belongings together , we still have much work to do today and your going to be part of it."
Gray feigned a wounded expression as Mira Spoke with him.
"Keep an eye on her and make certain to explore the island as well Grey." she said to the zabrak Jedi Knight. "And no wild schemes in getting some more cash, atleast not yet and not with Dobby." giving an impish grin to the grey jedi. " Now would I do something like that ? " He asked with a grin. " Besides have doesn't have a bounty on her........Yet. She might by the time you come back." As he flashed another toothy grin. " And yes I have every intention of exploring this island and beyond it as well, we would be fools if we didn't know about what resources there were on this planet. Don't you agree ? "
A short while later found them at the Z-95's. Gray placed a small device over the instrument panel and ran a wire to the battery. " This is a simple training device that will let us bypass the engines, but it will allow the insterment panel to operate normally. So you will be able to learn how to start the engines and use the other functions as well without damaging the ship. A clever little device the Imperials came up with, They shouldn't leave such things just laying around like that."
Gray opened the hatch to the cockpit and stood on the wing. Alright Graystar climb on in and have a seat. Hmm...... I think we can even fit Dobby in there with you, Might as well instruct her at the same time. No touching any of the switches unless you are instructed to. Pay attention as I explain what the instruments are................"
"Understood, Master." said Graystar. "Come, Dobby, this will be fun." he said. he climbed in and took a seat, waiting for Dobby. "I missed you. I thought of you a lot. How have you been?" He was still worried that sweet Dobby would be seduced to the dark side and would do his best to see that never happened.

Gray smiled as he let the two students talk for a minute, They are still young and it would be best for them to get it out of their system and help them focus better when he did teach them.
" All right now for the basics. To your right is the T shaped handle, that is your power thrusters. Push it all the way forward to increase speed and pull it back to decrease speed. Got it ? "
"The Stick in front of you is for steering the ship . Push it forward and you will dive. Pull it back and you will climb in altitude. Push it right and you'l go right and left if you want to go left."
" Ok now we'll review ." He rerached in and flipped several switches as the system hooked into the control panel humed to life. " Next I want the both of you to close you eyes and open yourself to the force."

Dobby looked at the display then closed her eyes opening herself to the force, she could see the expanse of stars outside of the canopy of the Z-95.
With her hand she moved the controls, getting the feeling of maneuvering the ship.
"Ohh this is.." Dobby didn't know just how to put in words for her young mind but then she found one. "wonderful!"
"What do you think Cazak?" Dobby queried of him.

Gray stood next to the open cockpit and explained the controls and had each student take turns working the controls and gently correcting them as they made some basic mistakes,which was to be expected. He could see the expanded starfield before them in they're minds eye and feel their excitement as they began to feel the joy and discovery of a new skill opening beofre them. They're excitment carried them through the lunch hour without them even noticing.
"You are both doing very well with your studies today. Right now we're just doing some gentle cruising around a fairly open area until you can learn the basics. If the both of you keep up at this rate, then perhaps after lunch tomorrow I'll let you test them out at a higher speed if you think you can handle it."

Dobby loved the words that Cazak had spoken to her, she didnt quite know all that he said, and Cazak was so wise.
"I'm strong and you think I can withstand the darkness? I can with the family I have... I think but I don't know, remember Master Yoda said everything isn't written in stone. The Force is ever flowing."
Dobby looked at Gray, "So with this simulator we'll get to go in a more higher speed? That would be interesting. " she clapped her hands with delight.
"I am looking forward to being able to fly amongst the stars!"

He laughed. "And we shall see them together, Dobby. And yes, the Force is flowing. How we use it determines our destiny. And I am only starting to see my own path. It awes me."

Even the mighty stars have a life cycle, they are born, they grow and they die. In their own way they are alive and serve the purpose of the force as we do." He remained quiet as he let his words sink in.
The hours slipped by unnoticed to the students, their excitement for learning the new skill carried them through the day. " All right, Once again ! Gentle bank left. That's good, now straighten out and fly level. Foot rudder contol and stick to the right, Now push the stick all the way forward ! Ok, pull back gently on the stick and pull out of the dive. Both of you are doing very well."
He looked up and watched the sun begin to set over the mountain. All right flip the switch for the automatic landing cycle, once the ship has landed both of you go and wash up for dinner. Tomorrow we will expand on what you have learned today and you will both be in seperate Z-95's and learn to work as a team. And for doing such a fine job today, The both of you may sleep in until 0600 Hrs. Now lets get something to eat ! "

Odds were good that she would not succeed, and she rather liked having something that made her unique. "As for the lightsaber training, I am not much of a duelist," Arali admitted with a slight shrug. "But," she continued, getting to her feet, "I do understand the need for you to be familiar with my capabilities. Where shall we train?"
"For now we'll train somewhere on this island, first though, sleep is essential and we'll start in the morning."
Jared yawned, he was tired, he wanted sleep.

Dobby looked at Grey and nodded, "Well I need to go take care of something before I get to sleep. I'll be ready to wake up in the morning though." Dobby gave Cazak a hug before climbing down from the Headhunter cockpit.
Before Dobby disappeared from sight, she looked towards Cazak, "If I do go to the darkside, will you come after me?"

Arali nodded and inclined her head slightly in the direction of her new master. While he headed off in a direction to find somewhere to sleep she headed for the nearest and largest tree. Reaching out through the Force she caused small hand and footholds to appear in the tree's trunk she she used to scramble easily up into its middle branches. Seating herself on one of the branches she tapped into the Force again and soon enough a comfortable looking tree hammock appeared in the branches as the tree created it for the twi'leki girl through her manipulation of the Force. Climbing down into the hammock Arali closed her eyes and was soon fast asleep.

After Dobby finished her training with Gray she decided it was time to go check on Audyn's ship. She skipped over there, with the necessary item she needed. She didn't need anyones help though she was a big girl.
The Flare's computer system and droid brains sensed the young Grans approach and primed itself for defense; the two consealed repeating blasters warming up within their respective chambers.
Audyn had geared the ship to be slightly more agressive then the average ship.
Dobby stood there puzzling out just how to get into the ship, it being locked up tight. She knocked on the door first then said "Open up Flare." trying to remember Mira's instructions.
A quick analysis of the voice cross-referenced with the parameters its master had set into it caused a slight reduction in the alert status of the ship.
Outside near the hatch a panel slid back revealing a slot and a scanner. "Submit for proper indentifiaction." came the response in Gran.
Dobby at first wasn't certain what she needed then remembered what Mira had given her, with a little bit of a squeal she put what was needed there and then waited.
The Flare mulled over the information submitted and then poped the disk back out into Dobby's hand as the hatch hissed open. "Welcome aboard the Cobalt Flare Padawan Dobby."
Dobby stepped inside once the hatch was opened the diminutive Gran gazing around in awe. "Hello Cobalt Flare. I'm Dobby."
"Fact." The Flare replied. "The datapad the Master gave you will gain you access to what you require and your voice pattern and DNA have been added to this ships recognition files, you may proceed."
Dobby stopped to pat the side of one of the walls, saying "You are a good ship then proceeded deeper inside to explore and find out what there was.
As Dobby moved through the ship the appropriate doors swished open, though the wall mounted security blasters tracked her thorugh each door. Some would say that Audyn was paranoid but he saw it as being prepared.
Eventually Dobby was admitted into the cargo bay where that Audyn had converted to house his plants as well as Aon and Kittles.
Dobby looked about with wonder, she had never seen anything like this at all, and she gave out a brief squeal of amazement. Gone were her words she had spoken to Cazak earlier at the moment the possibility of her maybe going to the darkside went out of her mind. She looked about wondering just where to start. Watering would be nice and perhaps talking to the plants? Even though they won't be talking back, atleast not verbally.
Dobby was having all sorts of fun and felt rather grown up to be able to take of things here for Audyn. She finished up her assignments and promised the ship she will return on a regular basis, and more than once. It came to her that it may well become a sanctuary of a sorts when she may need it. With her duties done Dobby left the Cobalt Flare and headed back to the Jedi Camp.

Jared woke up to the scent of breakfast and his stomach growled. He was hungery and he went to get some food. He looked about the camp, eating what was dished up for him, pancakes and had some tea to go with it. What was he going to be working with Arali on? He decided to see how she was on her lightsaber skills, he went to look for her. Breakfast time then working with the floating orbs.
Using the force he tracked her down and knocked on the tree she was sleeping in.
"Arali time to wake up, if you aren't awake yet."

"I've been up for some time, master," Arali replied, pulling herself from the trance she had been in as she continued to work on the tree house using her Force abilities. "What is the plan for today," she asked, rolling from the tree hammock she had created and using the Force to safely lower herself to the ground to stand before her new master.

Gray looked at Graystar and raised an eyebrow." Your asking me why ? " He asked with some surprise in his voice. " The answer lies here and here." As he gently touched Graystar's forehead and chest. " That answer is already within you my padawan, you have already been tested in an aspect where she has not. You started your training on the lightside of the force and then you sucummbed to the darkside,did you not ? Yet you found your way back to the lightside and then found your true path as a graywalker."
Gray stopped and took a bite of food and watched his student for a moment. " If you truely want to help her, then you must be there for her. In the time of her greatest need, you may be the only one that may be able to help her find her way back. As long as you have faith in yourself and your friendship with her, then you shall be able to bring her back. But be warned, the path back will cause you pain and perhaps doubt."
He looked intently at Graystar. " Never give in to the doubt. Do you understand ? If you give into doubt you will fail."

The green skinned Twi'leki girl gave her new master a look that seemed to say that she thought this whole exercise was going to prove to be fruitless since it was something for younglings and not a Padawan that was in the middle of her training. Plus, it involved using her guard shotos and she was always loathe to use her weapons, even for training. Arali sighed. "I'm ready when you are, master," she said, drawing and igniting her twin weapons that looked like a Jedi version of nightsticks.

Merquessa'kavan, or Merques Sakavan in Basic, ran her fingers over the controls of the Evening Star, her heavily modified Barloz class freighter, as the ship broke atmo on Da Soocha. There was no need for her to unnecessarily tax the freighter's heat shields. After all, this was an uninhabited world, by sentient life anyway and no one was chasing the purple skinned Twi'leki bounty hunter. From the cargo area of her ship she could hear the squealings, mewlings, gruntings, and roarings of her very live biological cargo.
"I would have killed that little worm myself, if one of Gojiro's thugs hadn't gotten him first," Merques muttered under her breath to herself. Her client had hired her to round up several exotic creatures and bring them to Nal Hutta for gladiatorial games. But, by the time she had arrived her client was dead and she was stuck with the menagerie of creatures and no buyer. The simple solution was to simply dump them somewhere and let nature work itself out.
Quickly enough she located the largest island on a planet that was primarily dominated by water and the freighter went screaming over the Jedi camp to land on the far side of the island. Once she had set the freighter down Merques unbuckled herself from the pilot's seat, stood, and stretched, her lekku twitching out and stretching as well. That done she drew a pair of S-5 heavy blaster pistols, and flipped them over to stun, before moving in the direction of the rear of her freighter where the cargo was kept.
She sighed audibly as she stepped into the cargo area, she was looking at an awful lot of credits she knew. Easily half a million, maybe more. But with no buyer and the new galactic Empire cracking down on the kinds of contests that these animals were used in it was very difficult to find a buyer. That and Merques had neither the time, nor the inclination, to either continue feeding the beasts or return them to their varied and distant planets. Da Soocha would work just fine.
Approaching the cage of the animal nearest to the door, a wampa, she fired several stun blasts into the creature. Satisfied that it was down for the count she had her cargo droids push the cage out of the ship and remove the stunned creature before returning the cage to the cargo ship. She repeated this process with a trompa, a rancor, a pair of nexu, four gundarks, an acklay, and finally a krayt dragon of the smaller canyon variety. Small being a relative term as the animal was still almost fifty feet long. With her cargo unloaded, Merques ordered her droids back onto the ship and returned to the cockpit.
She was just running through a pre-flight checklist when something on one of the scanners caught her attention. The scanner seemed to be indicating that there were energy signatures of several ships nearby. People making landfall on a planet that was uninhabited meant one of two things. Either there was a smuggling cache here that she could steal and sell to recoup some of her losses. Or, someone was trying to hide from people like her. Either way, there was a potential profit to be had. If only she had noticed this before loosing all the wildlife it would have been much easier to investigate. Still, Merques reasoned, she had caught all of the animals in the first place and if she could stop them all once she could do so again.
Leaving the cockpit she moved in the direction of the armory. In a few minutes she had pulled on her Mandalorian Neo-Crusader Armor, which had been modified to all for her lekku, and she had loaded the dart launchers attached to her S-5's with twenty round dart clips that had darts loaded with enough tranquilizer to knock out a wampa. Even then, if it came down to it, it would take multiple shots to bring down some of the bigger creatures like the rancor and the krayt dragon.
Feeling adequately armed and armored, Merques set out from her ship and began to troop in the direction that the scanners had indicated the ship's power signatures were in. Even though this was the largest island on Da Soocha none of the islands were particularly large and she knew she would be able to get to the site by nightfall at the very latest, as long as she wasn't interrupted too often by her now freed animals.

[ Away from the ships and in the forest of Da Soocha]
Dobby was in good spirits after taking care of Audyn's ship. She hopped, she skipped and she jumped, gleefully giggling at her shadow. A brightly colored winged bug caught her attention and she decided to play tag with it, also to give her some practice of moving quickly in her Jedi training. She climbed a tree when it moved high and when it went low, she did as well. Using her levitation for her to get to the ground, floating like a feather.
Merques stopped moving and stood still, looking about trying to locate the sound of the noise she was hearing. It sounded like a child's laughter. It did not take her long to spot the frolicking and diminutive Gran child, chasing a bug. It did not take long for the Twi'leki bounty hunter to realize she had stumbled onto a potential gold mine of credits as she watched the child levitate from a tree down to the ground.
"Jedi," she said quietly under her breath, drawing one of her S-5 blaster pistols and thumbing the weapon over to fire the tranquilizer darts instead of blaster bolts. Ordinarily she would have simply stunned the child, but a stun bolt could be noisy whereas the darts were nearly silent and just as quick.
Just as the dart was fired, Dobby spotted a purple flower and crouched down to get a better look at it, the dart passing overhead harmlessly. She was considering on picking the blossom to give to Cazak, it should give him some happiness as it was giving her enjoyment as well. She reached out to pluck it and heard a noise from her right side, like something moving in the bush, could it be her little bug friend?
Not seeing her bug friend, Dobby shrugged then spoke to the flower she cradled in the palm of her hand. "My brother is going to like you. You should help him be happier."
she cooed at it. "Sometimes he can be too serious."
Merques watched and listened as the child babbled nonsense, apparently talking to a flower of all things. Still, her words seemed to indicate that there were other people and Jedi nearby. After all, there would have to be since someone would need to be watching and be responsible for her, even if they weren't watching the child every moment of every day. Drawing a bead on the Gran again, the Twi'lek pulled the trigger.
With the sharp eyesight that was innately present in her species, Dobby caught the movement of something out of the corner of her eye. The gran youngling barely moved out of the way of the stinging insect that flew towards her. She wasn't familiar with tranquilizer darts, it wasn't something she had been taught about.All she figured was that it was a strange insect.
Merques hissed lightly, being careful not to make too much noise. This child was getting lucky. Too lucky. Another Jedi trait. Quietly, the bounty hunter drew her other S-5 blaster and thumbed it over to the tranquilizer darts as well. Leveling both weapons at the Gran, she pulled both triggers almost at the same time.Wanting to get a closer look she turned her back, not knowing there was a predator watching her.

Dobby reached out and plucked up the strange thing that was buried in the branch next to her. She turned away from the tree to get a better look at the strange object. The darts from Merques gun hit, one in Dobby's arm and the other in her side. Dobby looked at what hit her, letting out a squeal it stung like crazy! Her eyes moved in the direction where the... needles came from. Someone was there, Dobby felt a flash of fear, turned to make a run for it, the person there wasn't anyone she had seen before.
Cazak..Grey, Mira! her thoughts went out to them. She felt herself start to slow, stumbling and falling down, She was in trouble and she knew it.
Merques watched as the child stumbled around dazedly and then hit the ground. "One down," she said to herself, holstering one of her weapons and emerging from her hiding place. In short order she had retrieved the darts that had missed and deposited them in a pouch as well as plucking the expended darts from the downed youngling. That done Merques picked up the girl and slung the small thing over one shoulder and began the trek back to her ship. She was positive that the Gran would not wake up for some time, not with the amount of tranquilizer she had in her system anyway.
Once she returned to the ship Merques entered the cargo area and dumped the child, unceremoniously, into one of her smaller cages. The one that had housed one of the nexu cats she had dumped on the planet earlier. That done she made sure there was ample water and food in the cage and then exited the ship again to head back in the direction of the camp. Cazak..Grey, Mira! her thoughts went out to them. She felt herself start to slow, stumbling and falling down, She was in trouble and she knew it.
Gray was sitting at the table sipping at some coffee when he heard the telepathic scream . "Cazak !...Gray !..Mira !!" Gray focused and turned in a full circle until he oriented on the direction that the scream hasd come from, and then sent out a telepathic message to Graystar. "Graystar follow me ! Dobby is in trouble and needs our help."
Gray pushed himself off with the force and with one leap was at the edge of the woods with his sabre in hand and racing in the direction of dobby's scream.

Graystar was meditating when he heard the telepathic scream. Cazak! Gray! Mira!! Then he heard Gray's message. Graystar, follow me! Dobby is in trouble and needs our help. Graystar leaped up and took out his saber. I'm coming, master!
Dobby was in trouble. When he found who was abducting dear, sweet Dobby, they would pay for it. Graystar paused and breathed deeply. He knew where those thoughts came from. And being a Graywalker, he would have to control those thoughts. Not to let them control him and let the dark side take him over. No, he would have to control IT. And be in control of his emotions. His eyes went red with the Tavi spirit that guided him.

Gray stopped about a hundred meters inside the forest to focus on the direction that Dobby was being taken, And to give Graystar a chance to catch up with him.
He caught the direction where dobby was heading, But he also detected something else as well. Something that he hasn't felt in some time, something he just couldn't put his finger on at the moment.
Something else was out there as well, he just didn't know what it was......Yet.
He could sense Graystar close by and sent a mental message to him. Graystar be careful, there is something else out here as well. And it's between us and Dobby.

If he was to use the dark side, he would control it, not the other way around like before. After all, a greywalker knew how to use both to advantage. He soon caught up with his master.

The nine meter, scaly beast lifted it nose to the air testing the wind, to catch the scent of prey. It waited patiently, as the breeze shifted about. It wasn't in any rush,yet, even though it were hungry, its cunning and lessons learned from an early age. Then, the rancor caught something that smelled delicious, there was food nearby, Moving forward the lumbering monster, small saplings snapped close to the ground in its path.
There, he saw the object that he wished to eat, a zabrak with gray robes. With a roar the rancor struck, his paws reaching out and surprisingly quick his target, Gray. The roar resounded through the air, causing birds to fly up from the trees.

Graystar felt the attack before he saw it. There was a large creature, (what is it?) he thought to himelf. Ah, he remembered some of his lessons of creatures of the galaxy. And this one, a rancor, was often used as mounts on either side of the Clone War. When it could be tamed. But, it was attacking his master.
He had already tamed the inner beast, the dark side which a few moments ago, had threatened him again. A flash of emotion which he quickly redirected again. What to do? A drop of water fell from a branch above where a bird flew away from the roar. He reached up and caught the drop, then time seemed to slow down for him until it stood still. He remembered a few lessons Gray had taught him, about both light and dark sides being part of the same force, that a Greywalker learned to walk the narrow path between them.
And he felt the darkness before him and surrounding him, which had been so enticing for him once, which had for a moment turned him into Darth Lahore, his other side which he had fought. Again the question arose, how to use it without being consumed, becoming like Lahore or Vader, or the two Dark Jedi he had met.
Focus. Become the graywalker you are destined to be. The drop of water on his hand flowed from hand to hand without being absorbed, and he watched it as time stood still for him. He loosed it to a plant below. The darkness still surrounded him, but was seperate from him. And he would master it, without it mastering him.
His eyes glowed red, and he gathered it, then let it loose. Time snapped back to normal for him. If the dark side had mastered him, he would have tried to kill the creature, which was only trying to feed. But it would not feed on his master. The darkness sprung from his hand in a bolt of dark lightning, the first time he had ever done it, either as Cazak or Lahore. It hit at the rancor's feet, Graystar's intent to frighten it away, to buy Gray time to act himself.

Gray watched as the massive paw began it's deadly desent towards him, as it completed about about half of it's journey Gray did a series of four hand springs that opened the distance between himself and the creature by seven or eight meters.
While looking the creature in the eye, his hands brought up both of his lightsabres and touched the base of each sabre together and twisted them until he heard the audible click which locked them together. Simatainoulsy the red and the blue sabre blades sprang to life.
Gray stopped for a moment and closed his eyes and focused his thoughts and sent out a mental message to the jedi remaining in the camp. " We have a problem here ! There is a rancor about 200 meters south of the camp in the woods. Get all non fighters in the camp to shelter and then come to assist if you can."
Grays eyes snapped open just in time to see the black lightning strike the feet of the rancor. Gray knew that Graystar had caught up to him and created a mindlink between the two of them so that they could commicate mentally without effort.

The creatures howl of pain could be easily heard for at least a kilometer away.
" Attack it as soon as it's attention is upon the other person. This way we'll either drive it away or kill it before it can reach the camp ! We must protect the camp at all cost !

while Jared was in the middle of training Arali to see what her skill was at,all of a sudden Jared heard Greys voice echoed in his head.
Relying on the force Jared went into the forest to find where the massive howling was coming from then Jared saw a flashing light Jared rush towards where the flashing light was coming from when Jared got there Jareds eyes open wide as Jared looking
up and saw the rancor on the ground Jared never seen a rancor up this close before Jared actived his lightsaber and did a force leap and slice the rancors arm.

Yes, master, said Graystar. He began moving in the direction Gray told him, and noticed the rancor's attention on him before Gray attacked. The size difference was almost ludicrous, the nine meter rancor with the small Chikarri. He remembered and took to heart Master Yoda's words. Size matters not. The Force is all.
Then Jared came, and attacked thebeast himself. That gave Graystar the chance to attack himself. He had been granted a new gift by the Force, and he would use it. He clipped Goloft's lightsaber to his belt and used both hands this time. He felt no hate for the creature, only the necessity to defend the others. He drew on the rancor's anger, bringing the darkness to him, then released it again, using it against the rancor.
The dark lightning leaped from both hands this time, striking the rancor. He hoped it would be enough to drive it away.

Gray watched as the black lightning leaped from Graystars fingertips and scored a direct hit on the creatures flanks. The Raqncor once again howled in pain and turned it's attention to where the pain was coming from.
At that moment, Gray released to stored up energy that he used into a massive leap. He ricocheted off a tree and sliced the creatures chest as he passed it by and landed near a large boulder, which he ducked around to take cover. giving time to Graystar and Jared to make their attacks while the Rancor looked for him.
" Remember, only shallow cuts. We don't want to kill it unless it attacks the camp. If we can inflict enough pain we can drive it off and it will look for food elsewhere."

Arali had just ignited her guard shotos, which looked like nothing quite so much as lightsabers and nightsticks put together when they were abruptly interrupted in their training and her Master quickly raced off in the direction of some fracas or another. The Twilek padawan heaved a huge mental sigh before taking off in the direction of her master.
In a few moments they came upon the Rancor. Obviously the beast was the cause of the disturbance. Still, for the time being Arali chose to hang back and let the others handle the situation. At the moment the creature was no real threat to her, since it was focused on the others, and they all seemed to have the situation well in hand.

The beast roared out, feeling the pain that the morsels of food had caused it. It wasn't going to run, it wanted to eat and it was angry.It snapped at the quickly moving target missing the Zabrak Jedi Knight, coming close the foul scent of its breath could be smelled coming out from its maw. It swung out with is paws striking towards Jared and swiping at Cazak.
In its fury, it smashed a tree with the injured tail sending big chunks of the timber through the air, a rather large piece heading in the direction of Arali.

As the mouth of the creature snapped at Gray , He could feel the heat of it's breath and smell the stench of the maw which nearly gagged him. Gray drove behind a boulder as the Rancors mighty tail lashed out and shattered another tree.
The fragments of the tree moved past him in slow motion. One hit him in the upper right leg, It wouldn't cause him to much trouble but it would probably hurt later.A second piece grazed him across his cheek, where it left a shallow scratch and raised a light coating of blood. He took a deep breath and refocused his mind on the task at hand.
Gray knew his wound was minor, but it would still cause him trouble. He knew that Rancors had very acute sense of small and would be attracted to the smell of blood.
He opened his mind to the other jedi present. Graystar,use your new gift on the Rancor and I will do the same. Aim for the head. Jared , you and Arali attack it while we have it distracted. Ready on three. 1..2..3 !"

Graystar had to duck, throwing himself on the ground as the rancor's paw made a swipe at him. So there was a virtue in being small. His fur blew as the paw swiped just above where he had stood.
Then the rancor struck a tree and shattered it. The Chikarri tried to use the force to deflect the pieces, but was only partly successful, as one piece struck him in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him.
He slowly got up trying to block out the pain of the impact. Gray sent his message and Graystar acknowleged. There was much anger to draw on. The dark side was all around him.
He once more gathered it and loosed it. He sent it out in a bolt of dark Force lightning, but this time, he didnt' stop. Again and again he struck at the head of the creature.
He had a curious sensation of watching himself doing this while passively observing. He had discovered a way to use the dark side without being consumed by it.

The rancor roared, its leg giving out from under it, Jared's slice with the lightsaber hit a vulnerable spot. Crumpling to the ground the beast hit hard, a heavy thud causing the ground to reverberate from its impact.
Several shots from the underbrush announced the arrival of a couple of the refugees, having heard the roar of the rancor.
Janel and Denil stepped out, their blasters aimed towards the rancor.
"We all attack once more together then, we won't have to worry about the rancor." Denil growled out, being rather concerned. He was one of the refugees that had been rescued in the flight for safety.
Janel aimed her blaster rifle towards the rancor. "Lets get it done, I don't want to lose anyone else to a beast like this."

As the hunk of tree smashed by the rancor flew towards her Arali snapped one of her arms up, caught the bit of the tree with the Force and tossed it aside like so much kindling. She received and acknowledged Gray's telepathic order, but he was not her master and things were obviously not yet so desperate as to force her into leaping actively into the conflict. Besides, her short guard shotos would be next to useless against the rancor due to their size and her lightsaber combat style was not suited to this type of combat unless utterly necessary.
Gathering the Force to her for a moment, the Twi'leki gilr leaped high up into the sturdy low branches of a tree. Laying one hand flat against the tree she began to manipulate it through the Force, willing one of the tree's largest low hanging branches to snap down as hard as possible in the direction of the top of the beast's head.

Gray Stood with his back to the boulder that he dove behind, He closed his eyes and felt the comfroting presence of the force as he drew upon it's power. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand as the sensation spread throughtout his body.
" Graystar Now !!" He aimed his hands upward as the black bolts of lightning leapt from his hands and struck the rancor solidly. At the same time from the oppisite side of the Rancor Graystar attacked as well.
" We have to keep it from getting to the village ! We etiher have to kill it or drive it away. If we kill it we're going to be eating rancor steaks for awhile."

Yes, master.sent Graystar as he continued to attack the rancor from the other side. Blast after blast of dark lighting leapt from his hands as he pressed the attack. Either they would drive it away or kill it if there was no other way to do it. But he would be up to the challenge. The dark lightning struck the rancor from opposite sides.

Gray reached down and pulled the chunk of wood rom his thigh and slapped a medpatch over the wound. He looked back at several of the people that came from the camp to assist them. " Get some others from the camp and carve the beast up. We can't let the meat go to waste. We may need to build up stores against hard times."
He turned to Graystar and Jared. " Follow. We still have work to do." He faced the direction that he last sensed Dobby. Gray took off in a sprint and then used the force to leap. He used his lightsabre to slash at trees to leave the direction of his travel for those behind him.

Out of sorts was the normal temperament of the Nexu being driven out of the cargohold. They were taken from their proper environment, unceremoniously plopped inside a cage, in a cargohold with other creatures who were also in a foul mood. They had exchanged howls growls and other menacing noises, seeming to have been grumbling about the confinement.
Now they were out, quickly they made their way into the forest, pausing only a moment to look back at the captor, snarling, then melted into the woods. At first they revelled in their freedom, finding water, drinking of it. Now that their thirst was quenched, it was time to hunt for food and to seek some form of revenge upon the being who confined them. They had her scent, they will utilize it. They moved away from where the big beasts were, into another territory, as they moved, the Nexu caught the scent then the sight of a small group of two legs. One was small and furry, it looked like lunch. The others looked like lunch too, the smaller one though...
In almost perfect synchronicity they flanked the small group one on each side, then struck suddenly one aiming for the smaller furry creature. The other leaping in the middle raking with its claws, its quills brandishing out in order to cause as much confusion, and damage. These creatures stood a meter tall and were 14 feet in length.

As Graystar moved along, he felt a disturbance in the force. He felt the approach of several small beings, felt their anger, but the anger was not against them. But there was hunger. That was his only warning that they were in danger once again. He barely had time to react, as one leaped at him out of nowhere as the others surrounded them and one was jumping in their midst, raking with its claws.
He reached up at the one going for him, using a force push to knock it back. "We have company, master." he said. But the anger was curious. Who was it against? He reached out with his mind. We are not your enemy. We are goinjg up against your enemy. It was more feeling than words, and hoped these creatures would notice.
He took out Goloft's lightsaber, but did not ignite it...yet. He waited on the others.

Gray did a back flip and landed next to Graystar. " Jared, Get over here ! Everyone back to back so they can't flank us ! These creatures are in a foul mood and they're hungry, so beware !"
Gray summoned up his inner force and focused on a dead log near the closest Nexu to him near a boulder and devoid other nearby vegetation. He let loose with a blast of force lightning and struck the dead log which blew a chunk out of it and started a small fire on the log. Lacking nearby vegetation he wasn't worried about the fire spreading.
Perhaps this will give the creatures some pause and reconcider. He thought to himself. " I don't want to kill these creatures unless we have to." He waited until Jared joinedin the group and was ready to act.

as Jared joined the group he ignited his lightsaber when the Nexu's started to attack the group on each side Jared jumped into the fray next to Grey and Greystar ready for combat to happen.For what Jared could see what was happening was Nexu's coming from everywhere trying to get their gaping maw over some fresh meat. Gray gave a slight grin as he heard Jared's comment. " Well I can tell you that they seem to be rather hungry and in a rather foul mood. Sadly we will most likely have to destory these creatures, They are predators and will hunt anything that they can catch. And with the camp being close by......."
He let his sentence linger, giving the others a chance to think of what these creatures could do to the inhabnitence of the camp if they decided to hunt them.
"Unless we have a Jedi in camp that can link to their minds and control them , we may have to put them down. But I'd like to avoid that if we can."
Back to back with the other two Jedi , Gray kept watch of the circling beast." If they attack as one, use your leap and get into the trees for safety. Any thoughts on our situation ?"

Gray paused for a moment and stroked his chin. " Perhaps with the challenge that we presented them today, they will seek hunting prey away from the main camp. But if they get hungry enough, they'll be back."
He looked off to his left as his eyes narrowed and looked past the trees. " Dobby is still out there and we must move swiftly,let's bring her home ! Move out ! " With that he leapt in the direction that he felt where Dobby was.

"MMmmph... ohh my head hurts" were the plaintive words of Dobby echoing in the silent, cold cargohold. "Wh-where am I?" were her next words, her eyes adjusting to the semi-darkness of her surroundings.
This wasn't her tent, this wasn't anywhere near her tent nor where her new family was at.
"Oh no! I'm alone!" Dobby gasped.Slowly she stood up to explore, finding that she couldn't move to well, being in a small cage. clasping her small fingers, upon the grating, Dobby strained to see just where she was at. From what she could tell, she was in a ship, maybe in the cargohold.
"H-h-hello?! Anyone there?"
The only thing that was there, was silence.
"Mira.. Cazak..Gray, someone! Oh please find me!" Dobby cried out.

Graystar paused. He felt, then heard Dobby. "Master!" he said. "Dobby's that way!" pointing toward the way he heard Dobby's 'shout.' He sent to her. Don't despair, Dobby. We're on our way. Somebody doesn't want us to find you, but we'll get there.

The tall shaggy beast ( ten feet in height) with blackish blue fur, and horns curving from its skull, a Trompa is what it was known as mmoved about for food.
He didn't go too far from the ship that he had been released from and the sound of fighting had attracted his attention. There he saw what could be easy food. small morsels he didn't care, he was hungry and came out from amongst the trees with a roar swiping with his foot long claws towards the nearest persons.
Swoosh, his claws coming dangerously close towards Jared.

Dobby heard the call of Cazak, taking some comfort that he was on his way to help her. Hopefully he will be able to help her out.

Jared ducked under the Trompa's attack, his lightsaber already out and turned on.He cut towards the trompa's arm hoping to hurt it or cut it off.

"Gray, are we to take it down or just chase it away?" Gray flipped over the creature and landed behind it. " Drive it away if we can. If not, then we must kill it to protect those in the camp ! "
Gray swung at the creatures arm as it attacked Jared. His Lightsabre skimming along the surface of the arm taking off a large patch of fur and blistering the skin. The trompa howled and turned to face the new threat. It swung, narrowly missing Gray's head.
With the tree in close proxcimity to the Trompa, Gray couldn't get a clear shot in on it without clipping the thick tree branch.
Gary did the only thing that he could to give him a clear shot. His leg kicked upward in a lightning fast arc,catching the trompa right between the legs. The creature howled as it sank to it's knees,leaving it's back exposed to Jared. " Get it Jared ! It's up to you now !"

Graystar whirled when he heard the crashing, and almost circled back. But he heard no command from his master Gray, he knew his mission, and Gray would call if he was wanted back. He was to find a way to the place where Dobby was. He went and saw the ship hidden there. His force senses were alert. He didn't want to be trapped like Dobby was, and he would be more ready than she was.

Gray gave Graystar a sidelong glance as they walked into camp. " Yes, she is friends with a dark jedi. I can tell that it is a great concern to you, Then it is your duty as her friend to help protect and guide her in the ways of the light side. It would benefit her greatly if she were to stay on her current path. But be warned, she may be tested and tempted by the dark side so pay heed to the warnings that the force may give you."
A few minutes later they entered the camp and saw Master Star and Dobby. Gray gave a poite bow to Mira as he approached. " I know you need to be on your way Master Star, As I stated eariler I shall be more then happy to assist you with your request for as long as it is needed." He turned and looked at Dobby. " Young lady, we shall be staying and training at the cave complex. It's Dobby isn't it ? Well then ...Dobby... you had best gather your belongings together , we still have much work to do today and your going to be part of it."
Gray feigned a wounded expression as Mira Spoke with him.
"Keep an eye on her and make certain to explore the island as well Grey." she said to the zabrak Jedi Knight. "And no wild schemes in getting some more cash, atleast not yet and not with Dobby." giving an impish grin to the grey jedi. " Now would I do something like that ? " He asked with a grin. " Besides have doesn't have a bounty on her........Yet. She might by the time you come back." As he flashed another toothy grin. " And yes I have every intention of exploring this island and beyond it as well, we would be fools if we didn't know about what resources there were on this planet. Don't you agree ? "
A short while later found them at the Z-95's. Gray placed a small device over the instrument panel and ran a wire to the battery. " This is a simple training device that will let us bypass the engines, but it will allow the insterment panel to operate normally. So you will be able to learn how to start the engines and use the other functions as well without damaging the ship. A clever little device the Imperials came up with, They shouldn't leave such things just laying around like that."
Gray opened the hatch to the cockpit and stood on the wing. Alright Graystar climb on in and have a seat. Hmm...... I think we can even fit Dobby in there with you, Might as well instruct her at the same time. No touching any of the switches unless you are instructed to. Pay attention as I explain what the instruments are................"
"Understood, Master." said Graystar. "Come, Dobby, this will be fun." he said. he climbed in and took a seat, waiting for Dobby. "I missed you. I thought of you a lot. How have you been?" He was still worried that sweet Dobby would be seduced to the dark side and would do his best to see that never happened.

" All right now for the basics. To your right is the T shaped handle, that is your power thrusters. Push it all the way forward to increase speed and pull it back to decrease speed. Got it ? "
"The Stick in front of you is for steering the ship . Push it forward and you will dive. Pull it back and you will climb in altitude. Push it right and you'l go right and left if you want to go left."
" Ok now we'll review ." He rerached in and flipped several switches as the system hooked into the control panel humed to life. " Next I want the both of you to close you eyes and open yourself to the force."

Dobby looked at the display then closed her eyes opening herself to the force, she could see the expanse of stars outside of the canopy of the Z-95.
With her hand she moved the controls, getting the feeling of maneuvering the ship.
"Ohh this is.." Dobby didn't know just how to put in words for her young mind but then she found one. "wonderful!"
"What do you think Cazak?" Dobby queried of him.

Gray stood next to the open cockpit and explained the controls and had each student take turns working the controls and gently correcting them as they made some basic mistakes,which was to be expected. He could see the expanded starfield before them in they're minds eye and feel their excitement as they began to feel the joy and discovery of a new skill opening beofre them. They're excitment carried them through the lunch hour without them even noticing.
"You are both doing very well with your studies today. Right now we're just doing some gentle cruising around a fairly open area until you can learn the basics. If the both of you keep up at this rate, then perhaps after lunch tomorrow I'll let you test them out at a higher speed if you think you can handle it."

Dobby loved the words that Cazak had spoken to her, she didnt quite know all that he said, and Cazak was so wise.
"I'm strong and you think I can withstand the darkness? I can with the family I have... I think but I don't know, remember Master Yoda said everything isn't written in stone. The Force is ever flowing."
Dobby looked at Gray, "So with this simulator we'll get to go in a more higher speed? That would be interesting. " she clapped her hands with delight.
"I am looking forward to being able to fly amongst the stars!"

He remained quiet as he let his words sink in.
The hours slipped by unnoticed to the students, their excitement for learning the new skill carried them through the day. " All right, Once again ! Gentle bank left. That's good, now straighten out and fly level. Foot rudder contol and stick to the right, Now push the stick all the way forward ! Ok, pull back gently on the stick and pull out of the dive. Both of you are doing very well."
He looked up and watched the sun begin to set over the mountain. All right flip the switch for the automatic landing cycle, once the ship has landed both of you go and wash up for dinner. Tomorrow we will expand on what you have learned today and you will both be in seperate Z-95's and learn to work as a team. And for doing such a fine job today, The both of you may sleep in until 0600 Hrs. Now lets get something to eat ! "

Odds were good that she would not succeed, and she rather liked having something that made her unique. "As for the lightsaber training, I am not much of a duelist," Arali admitted with a slight shrug. "But," she continued, getting to her feet, "I do understand the need for you to be familiar with my capabilities. Where shall we train?"
"For now we'll train somewhere on this island, first though, sleep is essential and we'll start in the morning."
Jared yawned, he was tired, he wanted sleep.

Arali nodded and inclined her head slightly in the direction of her new master. While he headed off in a direction to find somewhere to sleep she headed for the nearest and largest tree. Reaching out through the Force she caused small hand and footholds to appear in the tree's trunk she she used to scramble easily up into its middle branches. Seating herself on one of the branches she tapped into the Force again and soon enough a comfortable looking tree hammock appeared in the branches as the tree created it for the twi'leki girl through her manipulation of the Force. Climbing down into the hammock Arali closed her eyes and was soon fast asleep.

After Dobby finished her training with Gray she decided it was time to go check on Audyn's ship. She skipped over there, with the necessary item she needed. She didn't need anyones help though she was a big girl.
The Flare's computer system and droid brains sensed the young Grans approach and primed itself for defense; the two consealed repeating blasters warming up within their respective chambers.
Audyn had geared the ship to be slightly more agressive then the average ship.
Dobby stood there puzzling out just how to get into the ship, it being locked up tight. She knocked on the door first then said "Open up Flare." trying to remember Mira's instructions.
A quick analysis of the voice cross-referenced with the parameters its master had set into it caused a slight reduction in the alert status of the ship.
Outside near the hatch a panel slid back revealing a slot and a scanner. "Submit for proper indentifiaction." came the response in Gran.
Dobby at first wasn't certain what she needed then remembered what Mira had given her, with a little bit of a squeal she put what was needed there and then waited.
The Flare mulled over the information submitted and then poped the disk back out into Dobby's hand as the hatch hissed open. "Welcome aboard the Cobalt Flare Padawan Dobby."
Dobby stepped inside once the hatch was opened the diminutive Gran gazing around in awe. "Hello Cobalt Flare. I'm Dobby."
"Fact." The Flare replied. "The datapad the Master gave you will gain you access to what you require and your voice pattern and DNA have been added to this ships recognition files, you may proceed."
Dobby stopped to pat the side of one of the walls, saying "You are a good ship then proceeded deeper inside to explore and find out what there was.
As Dobby moved through the ship the appropriate doors swished open, though the wall mounted security blasters tracked her thorugh each door. Some would say that Audyn was paranoid but he saw it as being prepared.
Eventually Dobby was admitted into the cargo bay where that Audyn had converted to house his plants as well as Aon and Kittles.
Dobby looked about with wonder, she had never seen anything like this at all, and she gave out a brief squeal of amazement. Gone were her words she had spoken to Cazak earlier at the moment the possibility of her maybe going to the darkside went out of her mind. She looked about wondering just where to start. Watering would be nice and perhaps talking to the plants? Even though they won't be talking back, atleast not verbally.
Dobby was having all sorts of fun and felt rather grown up to be able to take of things here for Audyn. She finished up her assignments and promised the ship she will return on a regular basis, and more than once. It came to her that it may well become a sanctuary of a sorts when she may need it. With her duties done Dobby left the Cobalt Flare and headed back to the Jedi Camp.

Jared woke up to the scent of breakfast and his stomach growled. He was hungery and he went to get some food. He looked about the camp, eating what was dished up for him, pancakes and had some tea to go with it. What was he going to be working with Arali on? He decided to see how she was on her lightsaber skills, he went to look for her. Breakfast time then working with the floating orbs.
Using the force he tracked her down and knocked on the tree she was sleeping in.
"Arali time to wake up, if you aren't awake yet."

Gray looked at Graystar and raised an eyebrow." Your asking me why ? " He asked with some surprise in his voice. " The answer lies here and here." As he gently touched Graystar's forehead and chest. " That answer is already within you my padawan, you have already been tested in an aspect where she has not. You started your training on the lightside of the force and then you sucummbed to the darkside,did you not ? Yet you found your way back to the lightside and then found your true path as a graywalker."
Gray stopped and took a bite of food and watched his student for a moment. " If you truely want to help her, then you must be there for her. In the time of her greatest need, you may be the only one that may be able to help her find her way back. As long as you have faith in yourself and your friendship with her, then you shall be able to bring her back. But be warned, the path back will cause you pain and perhaps doubt."
He looked intently at Graystar. " Never give in to the doubt. Do you understand ? If you give into doubt you will fail."

The green skinned Twi'leki girl gave her new master a look that seemed to say that she thought this whole exercise was going to prove to be fruitless since it was something for younglings and not a Padawan that was in the middle of her training. Plus, it involved using her guard shotos and she was always loathe to use her weapons, even for training. Arali sighed. "I'm ready when you are, master," she said, drawing and igniting her twin weapons that looked like a Jedi version of nightsticks.

Merquessa'kavan, or Merques Sakavan in Basic, ran her fingers over the controls of the Evening Star, her heavily modified Barloz class freighter, as the ship broke atmo on Da Soocha. There was no need for her to unnecessarily tax the freighter's heat shields. After all, this was an uninhabited world, by sentient life anyway and no one was chasing the purple skinned Twi'leki bounty hunter. From the cargo area of her ship she could hear the squealings, mewlings, gruntings, and roarings of her very live biological cargo.
"I would have killed that little worm myself, if one of Gojiro's thugs hadn't gotten him first," Merques muttered under her breath to herself. Her client had hired her to round up several exotic creatures and bring them to Nal Hutta for gladiatorial games. But, by the time she had arrived her client was dead and she was stuck with the menagerie of creatures and no buyer. The simple solution was to simply dump them somewhere and let nature work itself out.
Quickly enough she located the largest island on a planet that was primarily dominated by water and the freighter went screaming over the Jedi camp to land on the far side of the island. Once she had set the freighter down Merques unbuckled herself from the pilot's seat, stood, and stretched, her lekku twitching out and stretching as well. That done she drew a pair of S-5 heavy blaster pistols, and flipped them over to stun, before moving in the direction of the rear of her freighter where the cargo was kept.
She sighed audibly as she stepped into the cargo area, she was looking at an awful lot of credits she knew. Easily half a million, maybe more. But with no buyer and the new galactic Empire cracking down on the kinds of contests that these animals were used in it was very difficult to find a buyer. That and Merques had neither the time, nor the inclination, to either continue feeding the beasts or return them to their varied and distant planets. Da Soocha would work just fine.
Approaching the cage of the animal nearest to the door, a wampa, she fired several stun blasts into the creature. Satisfied that it was down for the count she had her cargo droids push the cage out of the ship and remove the stunned creature before returning the cage to the cargo ship. She repeated this process with a trompa, a rancor, a pair of nexu, four gundarks, an acklay, and finally a krayt dragon of the smaller canyon variety. Small being a relative term as the animal was still almost fifty feet long. With her cargo unloaded, Merques ordered her droids back onto the ship and returned to the cockpit.
She was just running through a pre-flight checklist when something on one of the scanners caught her attention. The scanner seemed to be indicating that there were energy signatures of several ships nearby. People making landfall on a planet that was uninhabited meant one of two things. Either there was a smuggling cache here that she could steal and sell to recoup some of her losses. Or, someone was trying to hide from people like her. Either way, there was a potential profit to be had. If only she had noticed this before loosing all the wildlife it would have been much easier to investigate. Still, Merques reasoned, she had caught all of the animals in the first place and if she could stop them all once she could do so again.
Leaving the cockpit she moved in the direction of the armory. In a few minutes she had pulled on her Mandalorian Neo-Crusader Armor, which had been modified to all for her lekku, and she had loaded the dart launchers attached to her S-5's with twenty round dart clips that had darts loaded with enough tranquilizer to knock out a wampa. Even then, if it came down to it, it would take multiple shots to bring down some of the bigger creatures like the rancor and the krayt dragon.
Feeling adequately armed and armored, Merques set out from her ship and began to troop in the direction that the scanners had indicated the ship's power signatures were in. Even though this was the largest island on Da Soocha none of the islands were particularly large and she knew she would be able to get to the site by nightfall at the very latest, as long as she wasn't interrupted too often by her now freed animals.

[ Away from the ships and in the forest of Da Soocha]
Dobby was in good spirits after taking care of Audyn's ship. She hopped, she skipped and she jumped, gleefully giggling at her shadow. A brightly colored winged bug caught her attention and she decided to play tag with it, also to give her some practice of moving quickly in her Jedi training. She climbed a tree when it moved high and when it went low, she did as well. Using her levitation for her to get to the ground, floating like a feather.
Merques stopped moving and stood still, looking about trying to locate the sound of the noise she was hearing. It sounded like a child's laughter. It did not take her long to spot the frolicking and diminutive Gran child, chasing a bug. It did not take long for the Twi'leki bounty hunter to realize she had stumbled onto a potential gold mine of credits as she watched the child levitate from a tree down to the ground.
"Jedi," she said quietly under her breath, drawing one of her S-5 blaster pistols and thumbing the weapon over to fire the tranquilizer darts instead of blaster bolts. Ordinarily she would have simply stunned the child, but a stun bolt could be noisy whereas the darts were nearly silent and just as quick.
Just as the dart was fired, Dobby spotted a purple flower and crouched down to get a better look at it, the dart passing overhead harmlessly. She was considering on picking the blossom to give to Cazak, it should give him some happiness as it was giving her enjoyment as well. She reached out to pluck it and heard a noise from her right side, like something moving in the bush, could it be her little bug friend?
Not seeing her bug friend, Dobby shrugged then spoke to the flower she cradled in the palm of her hand. "My brother is going to like you. You should help him be happier."
she cooed at it. "Sometimes he can be too serious."
Merques watched and listened as the child babbled nonsense, apparently talking to a flower of all things. Still, her words seemed to indicate that there were other people and Jedi nearby. After all, there would have to be since someone would need to be watching and be responsible for her, even if they weren't watching the child every moment of every day. Drawing a bead on the Gran again, the Twi'lek pulled the trigger.
With the sharp eyesight that was innately present in her species, Dobby caught the movement of something out of the corner of her eye. The gran youngling barely moved out of the way of the stinging insect that flew towards her. She wasn't familiar with tranquilizer darts, it wasn't something she had been taught about.All she figured was that it was a strange insect.

Dobby reached out and plucked up the strange thing that was buried in the branch next to her. She turned away from the tree to get a better look at the strange object. The darts from Merques gun hit, one in Dobby's arm and the other in her side. Dobby looked at what hit her, letting out a squeal it stung like crazy! Her eyes moved in the direction where the... needles came from. Someone was there, Dobby felt a flash of fear, turned to make a run for it, the person there wasn't anyone she had seen before.
Cazak..Grey, Mira! her thoughts went out to them. She felt herself start to slow, stumbling and falling down, She was in trouble and she knew it.
Merques watched as the child stumbled around dazedly and then hit the ground. "One down," she said to herself, holstering one of her weapons and emerging from her hiding place. In short order she had retrieved the darts that had missed and deposited them in a pouch as well as plucking the expended darts from the downed youngling. That done Merques picked up the girl and slung the small thing over one shoulder and began the trek back to her ship. She was positive that the Gran would not wake up for some time, not with the amount of tranquilizer she had in her system anyway.
Once she returned to the ship Merques entered the cargo area and dumped the child, unceremoniously, into one of her smaller cages. The one that had housed one of the nexu cats she had dumped on the planet earlier. That done she made sure there was ample water and food in the cage and then exited the ship again to head back in the direction of the camp. One was good, but she was young and therefore not worth nearly as much to the new Empire. Of course, to the right person, like a Hutt, the Gran might be worth a pretty penny indeed.

Cazak..Grey, Mira! her thoughts went out to them. She felt herself start to slow, stumbling and falling down, She was in trouble and she knew it.
Gray was sitting at the table sipping at some coffee when he heard the telepathic scream . "Cazak !...Gray !..Mira !!" Gray focused and turned in a full circle until he oriented on the direction that the scream hasd come from, and then sent out a telepathic message to Graystar. "Graystar follow me ! Dobby is in trouble and needs our help."
Gray pushed himself off with the force and with one leap was at the edge of the woods with his sabre in hand and racing in the direction of dobby's scream.

Graystar was meditating when he heard the telepathic scream. Cazak! Gray! Mira!! Then he heard Gray's message. Graystar, follow me! Dobby is in trouble and needs our help. Graystar leaped up and took out his saber. I'm coming, master!
Dobby was in trouble. When he found who was abducting dear, sweet Dobby, they would pay for it. Graystar paused and breathed deeply. He knew where those thoughts came from. And being a Graywalker, he would have to control those thoughts. Not to let them control him and let the dark side take him over. No, he would have to control IT. And be in control of his emotions. His eyes went red with the Tavi spirit that guided him.

Gray stopped about a hundred meters inside the forest to focus on the direction that Dobby was being taken, And to give Graystar a chance to catch up with him.
He caught the direction where dobby was heading, But he also detected something else as well. Something that he hasn't felt in some time, something he just couldn't put his finger on at the moment.
Something else was out there as well, he just didn't know what it was......Yet.
He could sense Graystar close by and sent a mental message to him. Graystar be careful, there is something else out here as well. And it's between us and Dobby.

I feel it, master. responded Graystar. I'll be careful, I'm almost with you. He had just regained control of his seething emotions. If he was to use the dark side, he would control it, not the other way around like before. After all, a greywalker knew how to use both to advantage. He soon caught up with his master.

The nine meter, scaly beast lifted it nose to the air testing the wind, to catch the scent of prey. It waited patiently, as the breeze shifted about. It wasn't in any rush,yet, even though it were hungry, its cunning and lessons learned from an early age. Then, the rancor caught something that smelled delicious, there was food nearby, Moving forward the lumbering monster, small saplings snapped close to the ground in its path.
There, he saw the object that he wished to eat, a zabrak with gray robes. With a roar the rancor struck, his paws reaching out and surprisingly quick his target, Gray. The roar resounded through the air, causing birds to fly up from the trees.

Graystar felt the attack before he saw it. There was a large creature, (what is it?) he thought to himelf. Ah, he remembered some of his lessons of creatures of the galaxy. And this one, a rancor, was often used as mounts on either side of the Clone War. When it could be tamed. But, it was attacking his master.
He had already tamed the inner beast, the dark side which a few moments ago, had threatened him again. A flash of emotion which he quickly redirected again. What to do? A drop of water fell from a branch above where a bird flew away from the roar. He reached up and caught the drop, then time seemed to slow down for him until it stood still. He remembered a few lessons Gray had taught him, about both light and dark sides being part of the same force, that a Greywalker learned to walk the narrow path between them.
And he felt the darkness before him and surrounding him, which had been so enticing for him once, which had for a moment turned him into Darth Lahore, his other side which he had fought. Again the question arose, how to use it without being consumed, becoming like Lahore or Vader, or the two Dark Jedi he had met.
Focus. Become the graywalker you are destined to be. The drop of water on his hand flowed from hand to hand without being absorbed, and he watched it as time stood still for him. He loosed it to a plant below. The darkness still surrounded him, but was seperate from him. And he would master it, without it mastering him.
His eyes glowed red, and he gathered it, then let it loose. Time snapped back to normal for him. If the dark side had mastered him, he would have tried to kill the creature, which was only trying to feed. But it would not feed on his master. The darkness sprung from his hand in a bolt of dark lightning, the first time he had ever done it, either as Cazak or Lahore. It hit at the rancor's feet, Graystar's intent to frighten it away, to buy Gray time to act himself.

Gray watched as the massive paw began it's deadly desent towards him, as it completed about about half of it's journey Gray did a series of four hand springs that opened the distance between himself and the creature by seven or eight meters.
While looking the creature in the eye, his hands brought up both of his lightsabres and touched the base of each sabre together and twisted them until he heard the audible click which locked them together. Simatainoulsy the red and the blue sabre blades sprang to life.
Gray stopped for a moment and closed his eyes and focused his thoughts and sent out a mental message to the jedi remaining in the camp. " We have a problem here ! There is a rancor about 200 meters south of the camp in the woods. Get all non fighters in the camp to shelter and then come to assist if you can."
Grays eyes snapped open just in time to see the black lightning strike the feet of the rancor. Gray knew that Graystar had caught up to him and created a mindlink between the two of them so that they could commicate mentally without effort.
" I see that the force has deemed you worthy to teach you a new talent. Now to teach you to use it more effectivly and when you should use it. There was a pause for a few heartbeats, before he continued. " Work your way around it going clockwise and I will work around it going counterclockwise. And be mindful of that tail !" The Rancors tail swung and shattered a small tree as if to punctuate gray's words.
The Rancors attention refocused in the direction of where the pain came from and looked down at Graystar. At that moment Gray summoned up the force within him and and leaped toward the rancor and struck the Rancor in it's massive leg leaving a shallow furrow in it's left leg from his lightsabre. The creatures howl of pain could be easily heard for at least a kilometer away.
" Attack it as soon as it's attention is upon the other person. This way we'll either drive it away or kill it before it can reach the camp ! We must protect the camp at all cost !

while Jared was in the middle of training Arali to see what her skill was at,all of a sudden Jared heard Greys voice echoed in his head.
Relying on the force Jared went into the forest to find where the massive howling was coming from then Jared saw a flashing light Jared rush towards where the flashing light was coming from when Jared got there Jareds eyes open wide as Jared looking
up and saw the rancor on the ground Jared never seen a rancor up this close before Jared actived his lightsaber and did a force leap and slice the rancors arm.

Yes, master, said Graystar. He began moving in the direction Gray told him, and noticed the rancor's attention on him before Gray attacked. The size difference was almost ludicrous, the nine meter rancor with the small Chikarri. He remembered and took to heart Master Yoda's words. Size matters not. The Force is all.
Then Jared came, and attacked thebeast himself. That gave Graystar the chance to attack himself. He had been granted a new gift by the Force, and he would use it. He clipped Goloft's lightsaber to his belt and used both hands this time. He felt no hate for the creature, only the necessity to defend the others. He drew on the rancor's anger, bringing the darkness to him, then released it again, using it against the rancor.
The dark lightning leaped from both hands this time, striking the rancor. He hoped it would be enough to drive it away.

Gray watched as the black lightning leaped from Graystars fingertips and scored a direct hit on the creatures flanks. The Raqncor once again howled in pain and turned it's attention to where the pain was coming from.
At that moment, Gray released to stored up energy that he used into a massive leap. He ricocheted off a tree and sliced the creatures chest as he passed it by and landed near a large boulder, which he ducked around to take cover. giving time to Graystar and Jared to make their attacks while the Rancor looked for him.
" Remember, only shallow cuts. We don't want to kill it unless it attacks the camp. If we can inflict enough pain we can drive it off and it will look for food elsewhere."

Arali had just ignited her guard shotos, which looked like nothing quite so much as lightsabers and nightsticks put together when they were abruptly interrupted in their training and her Master quickly raced off in the direction of some fracas or another. The Twilek padawan heaved a huge mental sigh before taking off in the direction of her master.
In a few moments they came upon the Rancor. Obviously the beast was the cause of the disturbance. Still, for the time being Arali chose to hang back and let the others handle the situation. At the moment the creature was no real threat to her, since it was focused on the others, and they all seemed to have the situation well in hand.

The beast roared out, feeling the pain that the morsels of food had caused it. It wasn't going to run, it wanted to eat and it was angry.It snapped at the quickly moving target missing the Zabrak Jedi Knight, coming close the foul scent of its breath could be smelled coming out from its maw. It swung out with is paws striking towards Jared and swiping at Cazak.
In its fury, it smashed a tree with the injured tail sending big chunks of the timber through the air, a rather large piece heading in the direction of Arali.

As the mouth of the creature snapped at Gray , He could feel the heat of it's breath and smell the stench of the maw which nearly gagged him. Gray drove behind a boulder as the Rancors mighty tail lashed out and shattered another tree.
The fragments of the tree moved past him in slow motion. One hit him in the upper right leg, It wouldn't cause him to much trouble but it would probably hurt later.A second piece grazed him across his cheek, where it left a shallow scratch and raised a light coating of blood. He took a deep breath and refocused his mind on the task at hand.
Gray knew his wound was minor, but it would still cause him trouble. He knew that Rancors had very acute sense of small and would be attracted to the smell of blood.
He opened his mind to the other jedi present. Graystar,use your new gift on the Rancor and I will do the same. Aim for the head. Jared , you and Arali attack it while we have it distracted. Ready on three. 1..2..3 !"

Graystar had to duck, throwing himself on the ground as the rancor's paw made a swipe at him. So there was a virtue in being small. His fur blew as the paw swiped just above where he had stood.
Then the rancor struck a tree and shattered it. The Chikarri tried to use the force to deflect the pieces, but was only partly successful, as one piece struck him in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him.
He slowly got up trying to block out the pain of the impact. Gray sent his message and Graystar acknowleged. There was much anger to draw on. The dark side was all around him.
He once more gathered it and loosed it. He sent it out in a bolt of dark Force lightning, but this time, he didnt' stop. Again and again he struck at the head of the creature.
He had a curious sensation of watching himself doing this while passively observing. He had discovered a way to use the dark side without being consumed by it.

The rancor roared, its leg giving out from under it, Jared's slice with the lightsaber hit a vulnerable spot. Crumpling to the ground the beast hit hard, a heavy thud causing the ground to reverberate from its impact.
Several shots from the underbrush announced the arrival of a couple of the refugees, having heard the roar of the rancor.
Janel and Denil stepped out, their blasters aimed towards the rancor.
"We all attack once more together then, we won't have to worry about the rancor." Denil growled out, being rather concerned. He was one of the refugees that had been rescued in the flight for safety.
Janel aimed her blaster rifle towards the rancor. "Lets get it done, I don't want to lose anyone else to a beast like this."

As the hunk of tree smashed by the rancor flew towards her Arali snapped one of her arms up, caught the bit of the tree with the Force and tossed it aside like so much kindling. She received and acknowledged Gray's telepathic order, but he was not her master and things were obviously not yet so desperate as to force her into leaping actively into the conflict. Besides, her short guard shotos would be next to useless against the rancor due to their size and her lightsaber combat style was not suited to this type of combat unless utterly necessary.
Gathering the Force to her for a moment, the Twi'leki gilr leaped high up into the sturdy low branches of a tree. Laying one hand flat against the tree she began to manipulate it through the Force, willing one of the tree's largest low hanging branches to snap down as hard as possible in the direction of the top of the beast's head.

Gray Stood with his back to the boulder that he dove behind, He closed his eyes and felt the comfroting presence of the force as he drew upon it's power. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand as the sensation spread throughtout his body.
" Graystar Now !!" He aimed his hands upward as the black bolts of lightning leapt from his hands and struck the rancor solidly. At the same time from the oppisite side of the Rancor Graystar attacked as well.
" We have to keep it from getting to the village ! We etiher have to kill it or drive it away. If we kill it we're going to be eating rancor steaks for awhile."

Yes, master.sent Graystar as he continued to attack the rancor from the other side. Blast after blast of dark lighting leapt from his hands as he pressed the attack. Either they would drive it away or kill it if there was no other way to do it. But he would be up to the challenge. The dark lightning struck the rancor from opposite sides.

Jared did a front somersault sliced at the rancors neck landing firmly upon the beasts shoulder, then leaped off once more to safty.

Gray reached down and pulled the chunk of wood rom his thigh and slapped a medpatch over the wound. He looked back at several of the people that came from the camp to assist them. " Get some others from the camp and carve the beast up. We can't let the meat go to waste. We may need to build up stores against hard times."
He turned to Graystar and Jared. " Follow. We still have work to do." He faced the direction that he last sensed Dobby. Gray took off in a sprint and then used the force to leap. He used his lightsabre to slash at trees to leave the direction of his travel for those behind him.

Out of sorts was the normal temperament of the Nexu being driven out of the cargohold. They were taken from their proper environment, unceremoniously plopped inside a cage, in a cargohold with other creatures who were also in a foul mood. They had exchanged howls growls and other menacing noises, seeming to have been grumbling about the confinement.
Now they were out, quickly they made their way into the forest, pausing only a moment to look back at the captor, snarling, then melted into the woods. At first they revelled in their freedom, finding water, drinking of it. Now that their thirst was quenched, it was time to hunt for food and to seek some form of revenge upon the being who confined them. They had her scent, they will utilize it. They moved away from where the big beasts were, into another territory, as they moved, the Nexu caught the scent then the sight of a small group of two legs. One was small and furry, it looked like lunch. The others looked like lunch too, the smaller one though...
In almost perfect synchronicity they flanked the small group one on each side, then struck suddenly one aiming for the smaller furry creature. The other leaping in the middle raking with its claws, its quills brandishing out in order to cause as much confusion, and damage. These creatures stood a meter tall and were 14 feet in length.

As Graystar moved along, he felt a disturbance in the force. He felt the approach of several small beings, felt their anger, but the anger was not against them. But there was hunger. That was his only warning that they were in danger once again. He barely had time to react, as one leaped at him out of nowhere as the others surrounded them and one was jumping in their midst, raking with its claws.
He reached up at the one going for him, using a force push to knock it back. "We have company, master." he said. But the anger was curious. Who was it against? He reached out with his mind. We are not your enemy. We are goinjg up against your enemy. It was more feeling than words, and hoped these creatures would notice.
He took out Goloft's lightsaber, but did not ignite it...yet. He waited on the others.

Gray did a back flip and landed next to Graystar. " Jared, Get over here ! Everyone back to back so they can't flank us ! These creatures are in a foul mood and they're hungry, so beware !"
Gray summoned up his inner force and focused on a dead log near the closest Nexu to him near a boulder and devoid other nearby vegetation. He let loose with a blast of force lightning and struck the dead log which blew a chunk out of it and started a small fire on the log. Lacking nearby vegetation he wasn't worried about the fire spreading.
Perhaps this will give the creatures some pause and reconcider. He thought to himself. " I don't want to kill these creatures unless we have to." He waited until Jared joinedin the group and was ready to act.

as Jared joined the group he ignited his lightsaber when the Nexu's started to attack the group on each side Jared jumped into the fray next to Grey and Greystar ready for combat to happen.For what Jared could see what was happening was Nexu's coming from everywhere trying to get their gaping maw over some fresh meat. " Hmm... Interesting friends you have here. What's next ? "

Gray gave a slight grin as he heard Jared's comment. " Well I can tell you that they seem to be rather hungry and in a rather foul mood. Sadly we will most likely have to destory these creatures, They are predators and will hunt anything that they can catch. And with the camp being close by......."
He let his sentence linger, giving the others a chance to think of what these creatures could do to the inhabnitence of the camp if they decided to hunt them.
"Unless we have a Jedi in camp that can link to their minds and control them , we may have to put them down. But I'd like to avoid that if we can."
Back to back with the other two Jedi , Gray kept watch of the circling beast." If they attack as one, use your leap and get into the trees for safety. Any thoughts on our situation ?"

The Nexu didn't respond to Cazak's message, but the blast from Grey gave them pause, they leaped away and melted into the woods, they will seek out easier prey.

As the Nexu left, Graystar looked to Gray. "Master, I sensed they were mostly going for me, as they thought I was easier prey than the rest. But I felt something else. Anger, great anger, but not at us. It is like they were sent by somebody else.
It is possible that somebody is sending these predators out against us."

Gray streached out his hand in the direction of the retreating Nexu's and closed his eyes.
" I feel the anger that you have senced Graystar, there indeed is great anger on their behalf as you stated. We were just in their hunting area and proved to be to much trouble then we were worth for an easy meal."
Gray paused for a moment and stroked his chin. " Perhaps with the challenge that we presented them today, they will seek hunting prey away from the main camp. But if they get hungry enough, they'll be back."
He looked off to his left as his eyes narrowed and looked past the trees. " Dobby is still out there and we must move swiftly,let's bring her home ! Move out ! " With that he leapt in the direction that he felt where Dobby was.

Sitting in a cage
"MMmmph... ohh my head hurts" were the plaintive words of Dobby echoing in the silent, cold cargohold. "Wh-where am I?" were her next words, her eyes adjusting to the semi-darkness of her surroundings.
This wasn't her tent, this wasn't anywhere near her tent nor where her new family was at.
"Oh no! I'm alone!" Dobby gasped.Slowly she stood up to explore, finding that she couldn't move to well, being in a small cage. clasping her small fingers, upon the grating, Dobby strained to see just where she was at. From what she could tell, she was in a ship, maybe in the cargohold.
"H-h-hello?! Anyone there?"
The only thing that was there, was silence.
"Mira.. Cazak..Gray, someone! Oh please find me!" Dobby cried out.

Graystar paused. He felt, then heard Dobby. "Master!" he said. "Dobby's that way!" pointing toward the way he heard Dobby's 'shout.' He sent to her. Don't despair, Dobby. We're on our way. Somebody doesn't want us to find you, but we'll get there.

Gray whipped his head in the direction that was indicated. His eyes narrowed as he quickly changed directions and headed towards Dobby.
Gray sent a telepathic message out to Jared and Graystar.
'" Jared your with me ! Graystar work your way around and see if you can find a way in."
" Jared to your right ! We have movement ! "

The tall shaggy beast ( ten feet in height) with blackish blue fur, and horns curving from its skull, a Trompa is what it was known as mmoved about for food.
He didn't go too far from the ship that he had been released from and the sound of fighting had attracted his attention. There he saw what could be easy food. small morsels he didn't care, he was hungry and came out from amongst the trees with a roar swiping with his foot long claws towards the nearest persons.
Swoosh, his claws coming dangerously close towards Jared.

Dobby heard the call of Cazak, taking some comfort that he was on his way to help her. Hopefully he will be able to help her out.

Jared ducked under the Trompa's attack, his lightsaber already out and turned on.He cut towards the trompa's arm hoping to hurt it or cut it off.
"Gray, are we to take it down or just chase it away?" Jared asked.

"Gray, are we to take it down or just chase it away?" Gray flipped over the creature and landed behind it. " Drive it away if we can. If not, then we must kill it to protect those in the camp ! "
Gray swung at the creatures arm as it attacked Jared. His Lightsabre skimming along the surface of the arm taking off a large patch of fur and blistering the skin. The trompa howled and turned to face the new threat. It swung, narrowly missing Gray's head.
With the tree in close proxcimity to the Trompa, Gray couldn't get a clear shot in on it without clipping the thick tree branch.
Gary did the only thing that he could to give him a clear shot. His leg kicked upward in a lightning fast arc,catching the trompa right between the legs. The creature howled as it sank to it's knees,leaving it's back exposed to Jared. " Get it Jared ! It's up to you now !"

Graystar whirled when he heard the crashing, and almost circled back. But he heard no command from his master Gray, he knew his mission, and Gray would call if he was wanted back. He was to find a way to the place where Dobby was. He went and saw the ship hidden there. His force senses were alert. He didn't want to be trapped like Dobby was, and he would be more ready than she was.
